Baldur’s Gate 3 is probably the biggest project from Larian Studios, and it certainly taking its time. According to a recent update from the developers, Larian Studios is currently aiming to launch the title “hopefully somewhere in 2022”. Back in 2020, Larian said Baldur’s Gate 3 will be sticking with early access for at least a year — until the end of 2021. However, soon enough it became clear the studio couldn’t keep that promise with its own schedule and ambitions for the title, and a full-fledged launch may happen in Spring 2022 at best....

Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios’ highly anticipated follow-up to Divinity: Original Sin 2, now has an official release date for Early Access, as the Dungeons & Dragons game is now scheduled to launch on September 30 with a substantial amount of content. With the release in sight, Larian has also confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3’s Early Access will launch with a price point of $60 on all platforms. Questions regarding the cost have also led Larian to offer an official explanation for the full retail pricing....

Andrew Wilson, EA’s biggest bigshot, just did an interview with Bloomberg where he talked about the business. EA had its biggest year ever in 2020 (largely due to a single game mode in FIFA), and he thinks that 2021 will be just as big, if not bigger. A big reason for that will be the trifecta of new games coming later this year: FIFA, Madden, and Battlefield 6. Just how big will Battlefield 6 be, Bloomberg asked?...

Best Buy announces a pre-Black Friday bundle for the PlayStation 4 Pro and a 55" Sony television set only a few days after the official release of the console. The PlayStation 4 Pro finally launched last week on November 10. The console supports 4K and HDR technology, which allows supported games to look better and run more smoothly. Early reviews have noted that the console is indeed more powerful than the original PlayStation 4, but the purchase probably isn’t worth it without a 4K-capable TV....

Despite plans to release Biomutant this upcoming May 25, developers Experiment 101 have been flying under the radar. The melee DPS jobs of the Bravely Default series are some of the most historically overpowered classes in any JRPG.
