But ever since developer Bungie announced that it was working on a ranking system for PvP, questions have been lingering about how it works. Even after this week’s reveal stream for Warmind, players have been asking for answers. In Bungie’s weekly blog, the developer went into deep details about how Crucible rankings will work in Destiny 2....

Atari recently announced the launch of Atari Combat: Tank Fury, a match-3 tank RPG mobile game now available worldwide for iOS and Android devices. Obsidian Entertainment released the first teaser for its first-person fantasy RPG Avowed last week, drawing comparisons with Bethesda’s Skyrim just as its previous game, The Outer Worlds, naturally drew comparisons with the Fallout series. While a huge step forward, the first-person RPG genre has become somewhat formulaic since Skyrim released in 2011, with next-gen needing to take it forward. One of Skyrim’s issues is its towns and cities, many of which feel underpopulated, underdeveloped, and ultimately far too small to be believed as anything other than hamlets....

Developer Bulkhead Interactive announced earlier today that it is setting aside $650,000 for the esports funding of Battalion 1944. The news comes from the developers along with the upcoming roadmap for the game over the next twelve months, which indicates additional funding for esports down the road. The major tournaments for Battalion 1944 will include the FaceIt Pro Series, multiple region qualifiers, and its recently launched Blitzkrieg Premier and Open League....

Earlier today, Electronic Arts released a list of all the guns, melee weapons, gadgets, and vehicles that will be included in the upcoming Battlefield V at launch. Blizzard has banned plenty of Overwatch players in the past for more obvious reasons including hacking and using cheats. But this is not the only thing that Blizzard deems a bannable offense and as it aims to make the game more welcoming, it has now banned players for trolling. In a post on the Overwatch forums, Blizzard confirms that it has banned hundreds of players in China for misbehaving. According to a translated version (via Google Translate) these banned players have “negative player behavior” including “repeated temporary absence, no participation in the game, malicious hang up” which are acts that affect the “normal player’s gaming experience....

Blizzard Entertainment has been having a rough go as of late. With the uproar surrounding the recently announced mobile game Diablo Immortal at BlizzCon in November and a negative reception for pushing towards the mobile platform for all existing IPs, the company appears to be struggling to keep its fans engaged.
