The DC Extended Universe just got a little more extended with the casting of actor Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. A major talent already having a big couple of years between several film and television projects, Hodge is now set to next star opposite Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam, a superhero film connected to 2019’s Shazam. The news, which was announced late Friday evening, further underlines that the Johnson-led Black Adam will be reaching back into the annals of early comic book lore, with Hawkman, alias Carter Hall, being a character who first appeared in 1940 via Flash Comics #1....

Earlier Tuesday morning, Regal Cinemas announced that it would be reopening its doors for the first time in half a year on April 2, and additionally they’ve signed an agreement with Warner Bros. Pictures to ensure there is a 45-day theatrical window for the studio’s 2022 film slate. Beta players of World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor now have the opportunity to seek out Blizzard Entertainment’s own tribute to the late, great Robin Williams. Williams, who passed away last month at the age of 63, was beloved by many; so many, that fans of the comedian took to starting a petition asking Blizzard to add Williams to their long-running MMO, immortalizing him forever. Wowhead reports that a user by the name of ‘Haldhur’ found a few in-game nods to the actor, with the first being an obvious reference to his role as ‘Genie’ in Disney’s Aladdin....

Those with itchy trigger fingers will be happy to know that bloody retro FPS Hellbound will be unleashing its fury upon Steam on August 4, 2020. After the exciting demo released last November and its recent spotlight during the Steam Summer Game Fest, developer Saibot Studios is ready to bring its creation to life. Some new gameplay footage shows off devilish creatures and the ways you can dispatch them, which is always nice....

The season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, “Chapter 16: The Rescue,” saw Mando assembling a crack team to help him spring Grogu from the Imperial Remnants. The glorious appearance of Luke Skywalker in the episode’s closing moments has somewhat overshadowed the finale’s intriguing setup for the next season. Bo-Katan joined the Mandalorian in liberating Grogu on the condition that she could face Moff Gideon in combat so that she could reclaim the Darksaber and, with it, the throne of Mandalore....

While Gearbox is prepping for the launch of the third Borderlands 3 DLC: Bounty of Blood, die-hard Borderlands fans are already setting their sights on DLC 4. During the DLC 3 reveal, Matt Cox, Creative Director over at Gearbox for DLC 3, dropped a piece of concept art pertaining to DLC 4 and it sent the fanbase into a fervor. At first glance, the concept art simply shows a colorful rendition of a Psycho, but closer inspection reveals that this could potentially be the fan-favorite character Krieg from Borderlands 2....

Destiny 2 recently enacted a new weekly challenge system to replace the former weekly bounty system. So far it’s been great, giving players that typically play a single character access to more Bright Dust through a series of relatively simple in-game tasks. All the new challenges have catchy little names like “Crash and Converge” or “The Bigger They Are.” As part of the “Contender’s Ascent II” challenge, Guardians will have to run a Battleground activity and then return to the War Table, where they’ll be greeted with the message “Blood and Honor” has been completed....

Activision has revealed the file sizes for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s season four updates ahead of its arrival this week. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are about to begin an all-new season. While exciting on the surface, we could almost hear our hard drives and SSDs collectively groan when the trailer for season four dropped last week. The next season will usher in some exciting new features, but those features will come at a price....

Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare tops the charts as the best-selling game of 2016, beating out fellow shooters Battlefield 1 and Overwatch. As 2016 came to a close, game developers and console makers made their final pushes for the remaining December holiday sales. After losing out to Xbox One four months in a row, PlayStation 4 bounced back to nab both November and December as the best selling console....

An official Q&A on Activision’s site confirms that the newly revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not be sold separately from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The recent unveiling for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has left many longtime followers of the series excited for some space-based combat. While the new title looks like it could very well be the best entry yet from a visual perspective, Activision also confirmed that it will be remastering the fan-favorite Call of Duty: Modern Warfare....

Online multiplayer titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone are usually a place to demonstrate and show off gaming skills, but now an unfortunate number of people are using them to brag about cheating instead. The latest examples of the problem are several TikTok users, who are building big groups of followers by sharing videos of their cheating exploits in the popular battle royale title. Members of the Call of Duty: Warzone group on Reddit have shared a video from one such hacker, which shows the player gaining huge numbers of kills, and mocking the reactions of the innocent players....
