The PlayStation fans who are worried about not being able to play the next game in The Elder Scrolls series needn’t worry, as Bethesda Boss Todd Howard has said that it’s “hard to imagine” the franchise becoming exclusive to a single platform. Skyrim has achieved memetic status for being ported to every system imaginable. The fact that Skyrim was coming to Nintendo Switch helped sell the potential of the console, but it became standard for the game to come to other platforms....

The CW is planning to expand its line-up of superhero dramas with a Black Lightning spin-off centered on Jordan Calloway’s Painkiller. The potential project will launch with a backdoor pilot scheduled to air during the fourth season of Black Lightning. Calloway made his first appearance as Khalil Payne/Painkiller in the first season of Black Lightning as a recurring guest before being promoted to series regular starting with the show’s sophomore year....

Over the last several months, we’ve seen plenty of big game announcements from the likes of Microsoft and Sony, particularly with the next generation of consoles set to be released. But, with this year’s E3 canceled, these reveals have been spread out through multiple events, all of which have received some build-up. However, some games can potentially slip under the radar due to not being part of any of these big presentations, with their announcements simple being released into the wild and left for people to discover themselves....

Black Skylands is fresh into early access. It’s a game from Hungry Couch Games and publisher TinyBuild, of Graveyard Keeper renown. Black Skylands merges several different genres into one, with a large open world, sky pirates, and a little bit of farming simulation as well. Hot tip: cabbages are delicious. While the game is currently in early access, and it received its first update just a couple of days after its release, it is subject to a lot of changes and balance updates....

The release of the PC goliath Diablo 3 is upon us, and fans of dungeon-crawling and loot-hording know how they’ll be spending the next few weeks (or months). But for those who wish to see what all the buzz is about, but don’t have a PC capable of running it, there has been hope. Until now. Or, maybe still now. Or soon. Possibly never. According to Diablo 3’s director, a console version is still somewhat a possibility, but one cloaked in mystery....

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night received plenty of acclaim when it came out last year, with critics praising it as a worthy addition to the Metroidvania genre that creator Koji Igarashi helped define. It’s also sold really well, with the Kickstarter-backed action-platformer having sold over a million copies, but in a bit of a surprising turn, it’s been revealed that the largest portion of those sales were on the Nintendo Switch....

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm was always going to stir up plenty of controversy; it’s a huge part of Sascha Baron Cohen’s brand of humor that aims to expose real life American personalities almost as over the top as his own characters. However, Borat is no stranger to pushback abroad too. After all, Borat Sagdiyev himself is a joke made of fake and ignorant stereotypes about Kazakhstan and its people. Among the long list of controversial moments spawning from Borat Subsequent Moviefilm are: a lawsuit from the estate of Holocaust survivor Judith Dim Evans; a highly commented scene with former New York Mayor and President Donald Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani; and even a fundraiser on behalf of Jeanise Jones, one of the few endearing people duped by Borat....

Shortly before the official May 1 gameplay reveal, it appears that Borderlands 3 is dealing with a couple of leaks. First up, some Borderlands 3 gameplay managed to leak online, which gives players a glimpse at the loot and some Maliwan weapons that feature two different elements each. Now, an extensive look at the skill trees for the new character Zane the Operative, has found its way online as well....

Microsoft is attempting to keep its vast library of Xbox 360 titles alive with backward compatibility. It was definitely one of the more unexpected announcements to come out of E3 2015, but if the company supports it with the right games and for the rest of the platform’s lifecycle then it could become one of the few features the Xbox One can claim to have over the PS4. The list of games currently supported by the console’s backward compatible feature is relatively small compared to all the games that came out for the last-gen system, but the list continues to grow, with Microsoft constantly announcing newly supported games and future support for Games with Gold titles confirmed thus far....

Patch 5.02 of Brawlhalla sees the newest Legend added to the game; Magyar. The update to Brawlhalla also sees game improvements, balance changes, a new Brawl of the Week, and much more. A few months ago, The Walking Dead characters joined the fight in Brawlhalla. This time, with patch 5.02, Magyar is dropping in. As the last member of the Batavian Strazci army, Magyar wields a Greatsword and Hammer and is ready to wreak havoc in Valhalla....

After several days of farming Legendary Engrams, blue engrams, and (begrudgingly) even some greens, Bungie has killed the infamous “Cave of Wonders” in Destiny. The developer released a new patch today that, in addition to eliminating the popular loot farming spot, makes some other small changes to the game. While many had seen the loot-farming cave as an important part of the Destiny experience – important because it let them circumvent the endless grinding – Bungie apparently did not see it that way....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Season Pass has been revealed, offering an all-or-nothing approach to downloadable content whereby players will be unable to buy individual map packs. The move has sparked outrage among members of the Call of Duty community, with many criticizing Activision for implementing an outdated DLC model that divides the playerbase with paywalls. Historically, Call of Duty games have always released DLC in content packs featuring new maps for multiplayer and Zombies modes....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare prides itself on a certain sense of realism, but fans have started to notice errors in the game. While there are tons of bugs for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans to point out, other times there are legitimate mistakes that made it past testing. Fans are fast to find errors the more they spend time with a game, from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans noticing inaccurate blood types to entire models that are surprisingly wrong....

In Call of Duty: Warzone, a fairly common drop is the FFAR 1. This weapon is a strong assault rifle that can be modified to fit a variety of situations. While Call of Duty: Warzone holds many options for ground loot, the FFAR offers a balanced choice that can be improved with a few attachments. While fans have expressed frustration over some of Call of Duty: Warzone’s design decisions, the battle royale game has remained immensely popular, with Warzone hitting 60 million players in the few short months since launch. The game has had its ups and downs, but a new glitch seems to suggest something big may be headed its way. Players are beginning to report miniguns dropping in Warzone, though they’re glitched and can’t be used....

The major Season 6 update for Call of Duty: Warzone has seen multiple new additions to the battle royale, from the new subway tunnel locations to some new weaponry. One new weapon is the AS VAL assault rifle, and it did not take Warzone players long to discover something wrong with the additional fun. The AS VAL joined the SP-R208 sniper rifle as the free weapons in the Season 6 battle pass....

An unfortunate reality for today’s gaming industry is that leaks are commonplace, especially as it pertains to the biggest releases. Call of Duty: WW2, the upcoming first-person shooter from Sledgehammer Games, has been a victim to leaks as well, both before and after its announcement earlier this year. The latest round of leaks have revealed details about the game’s multiplayer and Zombies modes, and according to co-studio head Michael Condrey, some of the leaked information is accurate....

With a new Call of Duty game releasing by the end of the year, Game Rant lists five possible ways that Infinity Ward can make the game a hit with both fans and critics. Nothing is certain but death, taxes, and a new Call of Duty game releasing every year. Since 2005’s Call of Duty 2, a new main entry in the series has released every single year without fail. Despite this grueling annual release schedule, Activision has managed to keep franchise fatigue at bay by having three different development studios - Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward - each work on games in the series at once....

With the release of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S today, and Sony’s PlayStation 5 preparing to launch Thursday in select regions, gamers are anticipating the change to play next-gen titles. One major launch game for this new generation is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but it is currently rumored that Black Ops Cold War had plans to launch with additional maps. That said, more are likely to release after the fact, like with Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Mobile....
