In what will be the final update for the game, Battlefield 5 has just received its final major content patch, providing new maps, weapons, vehicles, and gameplay adjustments for the online shooter. Electronic Arts had previously stated that DICE, the game’s developer, will be moving on to other projects, though the company hasn’t directly revealed what those projects are, though Battlefield 6 has been confirmed for next-gen. Since it’s release in late 2018, Battlefield 5 has seen its share of content updates keeping EA’s promise of free DLC for the game....

Dead leaves, tasty treats, and cozying up around frightful films are part of everyone’s love of Halloween. COVID-19 may make it more difficult to celebrate Halloween in some traditional ways this year but this is a great time for families to share stories together, which is one of the most special parts of the season. Remote watch parties can even be done with screen sharing through Zoom or Discord, which can make the distance between family and friends feel a little shorter....

Fallout 3 is over a decade old, yet is still continually celebrated as one of the best first-person open-world RPGs ever made. It succeeds where others fail by having fewer side quests, but ensuring each one makes significant changes to the world and characters. Nothing feels useless or superfluous. Every side quest is incredible, but the ten listed below stand head and shoulders above the rest. Bethesda’s take on the Falloutseries has never been more well-received than it was upon Fallout 3’s release, but we are hoping whatever the company has in store for the series’ future brings back some of that old glory....

Everybody needs a little catharsis, especially during a pandemic. Unfortunately, for those whose catharsis includes a dark comedy about a bounty hunter, HBO’s Barry hasn’t seen any new episodes since May 2019. But luckily, it looks like star Bill Hader has some encouraging news for fans. According to Hader, season 3 of Barry was already set to begin shooting just as the pandemic hit full swing in March 2020. Naturally, their filming schedule was scrapped and they went into lockdown, like so many other productions throughout the year....

Blizzard has decided that it will no longer be releasing special Overwatch skins to honor Overwatch League MVPs moving forward, likely due to at least in part to the recent scandal attached to previous League player, Jay “Sinatraa” Won. Before that happens, though, you can still get yourself the latest (and very last) MVP Legendary skin Blizzard just released for Echo. Included in this post is the sneaky announcement that Fleta’s Legendary skin will in fact be the last skin specially made for an Overwatch League MVP....

A new report reveals discontent within Blizzard after an internal study shows more than half of employees are upset about wage disparities. We should probably point out that the situation at Blizzard is hardly unique. Wealth inequality in America is at an all-time high, according to the Pew Research Center, with the top 20% of income earners now owning more than half the wealth of the entire country. And this is just as true at Blizzard, where engineers and producers are earning six-figure salaries while QA testers and customer service reps are working for close to minimum wage....

As part of yesterday’s Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal event, Gearbox Software gave select players access to a demo version of the game. Not only did these fans have the opportunity to play the Borderlands 3 demo, some were even allowed to stream their experience. From these streams, a great deal of information can be extracted, including specific details on quite a number of Borderlands 3 legendary weapons. In a video compiled by YouTuber retroinactive, fans can get a look at 40 Borderlands 3 legendary guns that were found across the many gameplay streams that occurred yesterday....

Recently, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford lit a fire up the Borderlands 3 community when he teased a second year’s worth of DLC content. The wording suggested that Gearbox hadn’t yet decided on a course, but the first year of Borderlands 3 has been rather remarkable, with it coming to a close with the brand new Krieg-focused DLC in the coming days. Many debated what Borderlands 3 should add, with a variety of answers across the board....

The first gym leader in every Pokemon game is usually a bit of an idiot. They almost always have a team that is weak to two, if not all three starter choices, and it’s difficult not to be drastically overleveled if you simply battle all of the trainers on the way there. The most recent introductory gym leader, Sword & Shield’s Milo, deserves to be stripped of his badge immediately - or at least told to focus more on training decent ‘mons than training his lats, eh?...

Bungie has raised over $780,000 for Direct Relief, a multi-cause charity whose current mission is to support frontline healthcare workers affected by COVID-19. The money was raised as part of Destiny 2’s Guardian’s Heart Initiative, a fundraising campaign that began on April 13th in response to COVID-19. Players who donated $20 or more to Direct Relief through Tiltify received a special in-game emblem, the Guardian’s Heart. To support the Guardian’s Heart Initiative, some notable Destiny 2 content creators offered themselves up for Bungie Bounties, community events where Bungie targets specific players for other Guardians to compete against to earn an exclusive in-game emblem....

Call of Duty’s Season 4 Reloaded update was substantial, adding some interesting new content ands nerfs to the popular Grau 5.56 and MP5. Now players are looking to experiment with other guns to find ideal loadouts, and one gun that is receiving more attention is the FAL. The Grau was so strong in the meta that it was almost foolish to choose any other AR to melt enemies with. The accuracy, minimal recoil, and solid damage made it a nasty AR to come up against in a firefight....

When Activision and Treyarch announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the companies revealed that the game would not have a traditional single-player campaign and would instead focus entirely on multiplayer. While the decision to ditch single-player was controversial to some, it appears to have given Treyarch an added incentive to make the game’s multiplayer as good as it can be. And part of that plan includes bringing back fan-favorite multiplayer maps....

At the end of the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal trailer, players got a small glimpse into the next chapter of Zombies. From this short glimpse into the world of Zombies, players were able to glean several pieces of interesting Black Ops Cold War information. Combine these fragments with leaks and data-mined information, and players have some slight confirmations into the next Zombies mode. The trailer provides several nods to the Zombies franchise, helping fans know that some factors may be returning in the next release....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies has been a success thus far, with clever mechanics like armor and upgrade trees greatly improving the survival mode. Simpler main easter eggs allow newcomers to take part in the story, while the addition of the game’s Outbreak feature has helped to get some new eyes on Call of Duty’s third game mode. Other big quality of life changes like exfils, free DLC and cross-play have only helped the mode grow, so much so that a standalone Call of Duty Zombies game has been rumored....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has undergone some major changes with the latest update. Infinity Ward has released the patch notes for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with Warzone receiving the bulk of the update’s changes. For Warzone, the developers have replaced Trios Mode with Quads Mode, instead of offering Quads as an additional game mode. The new mode adds an extra player to the Battle Royale team, giving players more of a chance to win and revive each other....

After launching Season 4 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare last week, it’s full steam ahead for Activision and Infinity Ward. Coming off another free to play weekend, new bundles have begun to popular the store including ones for new operator cosmetic skins and colored tracer packs. Today also marks the awaited update to the core multiplayer playlists, which has finally been revealed by Infinity Ward. The latest playlist news comes from the official Infinity Ward Twitter account where they let fans know that the weekly playlist refresh for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer is now live....
