Before Half-Life: Alyx created a new boom for VR headsets, Beat Saber drew in a devoted audience. Since its release in 2019, developer Beat Games Studio has continued adding songs from popular culture to its game. While Beat Saber’s addictive gameplay and song library is impressive on its own, the game is about to drop another massive update next week. A recent tweet to the official Beat Saber Twitter account announced that the virtual reality game will be releasing 46 new beatmaps....

While there were some major gaming announcements made during E3 2016, the showfloor was also filled with some memorable indie titles. Here are a few we’re most excited about. With another E3 in the books, it’s time to start reflecting upon what gamers saw over the course of the week-long celebration of video game culture and development. E3 2016 was an event that was short a few of the surprises that have come to characterize the yearly conference, as a lot of the bigger ticket presentations and reveals were for games that were already confirmed and pretty thoroughly covered, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few shocking announcements or demos....

It was only a few months ago that Valve decided to implement paid mods into Steam, which allow its users to pay for mods they like and support the people making them. It was an interesting endeavor, since mods take a lot of time to create and their creators deserve some compensation. And while some aspects of it needed work, it could’ve become a huge addition to the PC service given enough time....

BioWare’s new loot-based shooter Anthem has only been out for a few days (officially) and already the developer has faced plenty of pushback from fans. Most recently, the studio has come under fire for a change that first increased loot drop rates (albeit unintentionally) and then lowering them back down. Since that time, the Anthem community has been in a heated debate regarding whether the higher loot drop rates were good for the game or bad, but BioWare had yet to chime in on the issue....

If there’s one studio that this generation of consoles managed to take from a beloved studio to an acclaimed juggernaut - and deal with the problems that a rise to fame often brings - it is BioWare. After making their name in the mainstream, the company is at work on their next-gen Dragon Age: Inquisition. Although fans are eager to see how the developers will be improving on their existing formula, and just what next-gen tech can make possible in the Dragon Age universe, BioWare isn’t placing any bets on what new forms of input or secondary game experiences - Kinect, SmartGlass, PlayStation Move - preferring instead to see what changes are met with approval from gamers....

Pearl Abyss, the developers behind Black Desert Mobile, are adding a host of new features and items for the second season of Ancient Ruin. The new additions include a co-op boss raid mode, a Bounty Mission Quest, JIN Liverto gear, and Tier 5 pets. These will be included in the latest update for Black Desert Mobile. Ancient Ruin Season 2 features an even stronger boss, Kabuamilles. Players familiar with Kabuamilles will be excited to take him down again, as he has returned to Black Desert Mobile more powerful than ever....

Any World of Warcraft player who has been battling in Azeroth for at least two years knows how Blizzard expansion launches usually go. The team does its best to prepare, but come midnight on launch day, servers around the world start crashing and players take to the internet to vent. It never fails that some portion of the audience is optimistic enough to call off of work in advance in hopes of spending the day with the new content, but instead they end up staring at Server Locked messages and waiting for hours (or days) for issues to be resolved....

Starcraft released almost twenty years ago and the game has since become an iconic franchise for PC gamers. The sci-fi RTS is best known for its highly competitive scene, that is still active nearly two decades later, but it is also full of unique characters, races, and settings that have infiltrated geek pop culture. The official Bloodborne twitter account has released an image of a new weapon from its upcoming expansion, The Old Hunters. The weapon is named “Juunikutachi” and bears a resemblance to the game’s iconic Saw Cleaver, especially in its handle design. The blade also looks to be made up of modules, which suggests that it might break apart for extended range or a new attack style similar style to one of Bloodborne’s starting weapons, the Threaded Cane....

Like its vast palette of weapons, the Borderlands series has become an explosive, unstoppable force that’s left an impact on the RPG genre. The epic third game in the mainline franchise has kept the momentum going, as have the steady stream of spinoffs and DLC packs like The Pre-Sequel and the story-driven Tales From the Borderlands. Even the now-distant Borderlands 2 is still going strong, thanks to its memorable locales, characters, and weapons -along with the recent DLC, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary....

It was just a few days ago when Gearbox officially announced Borderlands 2 and now, more information about the upcoming RPG-shooter hybrid has surfaced. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a weapon inspect feature that allows players to examine their loadout weapon to see the tiny details like camo, stickers, and charms. The feature was also implemented into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare through a patch after it was heavily requested by fans. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans recently saw a big info drop for 115 Day, and one of the highlights was the confirmation of a new perk. Originally teased on New Year’s Day, Tombstone has officially been confirmed to return to Call of Duty Zombies. While the perk was heavily memed upon its introduction in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, it boasts some powerful new abilities in its latest appearance....

Raven Software lead designer Amos Hodge takes to Twitter to reveal details on the multiplayer mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. There are some Call of Duty fans excited to play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in November, but there may more fans that are more excited to get their hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Set to launch alongside the $80 version of Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is looking to revive the classic FPS for new-gen consoles, and developer Raven Software has recently elaborated on exactly what fans can expect from its multiplayer component....

The annual Call of Duty franchise is looking to mix things up this year with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a reimagining of the 2007 classic. In addition to a brand new engine powering the experience, the game aims to be much more mature than previous games in the series by using more grounded and realistic depictions of contemporary conflicts. Of course, multiplayer aims to be a major component of this year’s Call of Duty and while Infinity Ward has yet to fully reveal that side of the game, official gameplay for the new Gunfight mode has finally released....

New guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are almost always a big deal. With the earlier announcement of Shadow Company fans noticed some small but important details hidden just below the surface. Modern Warfare fans have always been quick to identify fan-favorite weapons, and Shadow Company seems to be bringing the firepower. Two images stood out to fans. There are many things that Call of Duty: Warzone does right. It brought innovation to the battle royal genre with the gulag and has an excellent cross-progression system with Modern Warfare, but without a doubt, the one thing missing is a shooting range to allow players to test different loadouts and practice before diving into the real thing. This might not seem like a huge deal to veterans of the series who have a firm understanding of what each weapon does, its effective range, and bullet spread after years of playing sequel after sequel in the series....

Call of Duty: WW2 recently had the United Front DLC make its way to the game, adding new content to the popular FPS. Starting today, a new limited time event will be bringing more content to the game, as well. Dubbed The Days of Summer, the event will start today and run through August 28th. It will add new experiences and collectibles for Call of Duty: WW2, like game modes, weapon, and cosmetic items....

There’s a lot to love about Avatar: The Last Airbender. It has a gripping story, a fascinating fantasy world, beautiful animations and music, and superb voice acting. All of these qualities come together to create an unforgettable saga. They also come together to create some of the most endearing characters ever seen in a cartoon show. Many of these characters excite the fans, and some make them even cry at times....
