Perhaps the biggest addition to Borderlands 2 in the new Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC is the variety of rainbow rarity weapons and items to collect, and many presumed this was to build hype for the new rarity as part of the threequel’s release. However, according to the Borderlands 3 Japanese website, it may not have rainbow or pearlescent rarities at launch. This decision on Gearbox’s part isn’t without precedent, either....

Borderlands 3’s Krieg DLC is out now, allowing fans to finally wrap up the season pass with an incursion into his mind. For the most part, it’s a fitting end, but it’s not the actual end. With new vault hunter skill trees and a new game mode coming later this year, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades on the doc, Borderlands 3 isn’t quite finished yet.
