Space submarine survival sim Barotrauma recently had its largest and most extensive update so far applied, titled the New Frontiers Update. New Frontiers primarily includes a complete campaign overhaul to improve player progression and lay a more solid foundation in place for future updates. A whole slew of new content was also added, including explorable outposts, a new starter sub, AI improvements, scripted events, and more. Singleplayer and multiplayer progression received the most attention with the New Frontiers update, with each mode getting a bevy of enhancements to make them play uniquely from each other through crew AI changes and upgrades, and getting them to feel more like they should....

As the final game in the Arkham series, at least before the reveal of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League which supposedly takes place in the same universe, Arkham Knight was the last chance Rocksteady had to include references to either their previous games or other DC characters. This resulted in dozens of little nods to both Batman characters as well as wider DC personalities being sprinkled throughout the game....

As promised, Battlefield V was given a spotlight at E3 2019’s EA Play event. There was no sign of dinosaurs as was previously teased by the developers, but DICE did give fans a look at some major future content for Battlefield V, including the franchise’s long-awaited return to the Pacific Theater. This fall, Battlefield V will get its Chapter 5 update that will add the Pacific Theater to the game. Chapter 5 will focus on US and Japanese forces, which have largely been left out of Battlefield V so far....

We’re just hours away from the release of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and if you’ve been on the fence about picking her up, maybe one of the last minute pre-order deals are worth considering - particulary for Xbox One and PC gamers (sorry PlayStation 4 fans, we didn’t spot any noteworthy deals for Watch Dogs 2 this time around). Everyone who pre-orders gets the Zodiac Killers DLC bonus, but in addition to that there are a few cash bonuses and discount deals to consider....

A couple of weeks ago, Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar said that the developer and Activision’s forthcoming first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, would only contain 11 multiplayer maps in total. Now, a screenshot of the game’s multiplayer menu has surfaced online to contradict the studio employee’s statement, as there will actually be 14 maps in total once the sequel launches at the end of this week. As indicated in the image below courtesy of the Redditor and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 fan known as “thunde-r”, 10 of the maps coming to the title are brand new, and four of them–that is, (Firing Range, Jungle, Slums and Summit–are remakes of maps from past games....

As part of its latest update, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 introduced the Ancient Evil zombies mode. This map fits right in with the others, with many wondering how to do the Ancient Evil Easter egg as well as Pack-a-Punch. Per usual, unlocking the Pack-a-Punch is a multi-step process that many will want to do as early as possible. In Ancient Evil, Black Ops 4 players will need to unlock Pegasus, free some eagles, and survive the zombie horde....

It has been more than six years since Hearthstone first released, and it appears that Blizzard is actively seeking new ways to engage with casual and premium users. Outof.cards has recently reported that Blizzard has sent some players a survey asking for their thoughts on a battle pass that would replace the current system of daily quests, achievements, and winning three games. A Battle Pass Per Expansion Like clockwork, Blizzard is sure to release a brand-new expansion every four months, and a battle pass would last just as long....

Nearly a year ago, Blizzard filed a lawsuit against cheat program creators Bossland, seeking damages for the latter party’s role in generating cheat software for games like Overwatch (Watchover Tyrant) and World of Warcraft (Honor Buddy), and now the California District Court has granted Blizzard statutory copyright damages totaling out to $8,563,600. In addition to the restitution Bossland is ordered to pay, the cheat maker also owes Blizzard $174,872 in attorneys’ fees and is prohibited from selling programs that exploit any of the developer’s games in the United States....

Activision releases a new trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, revealing the game’s quirky Zombies mode Zombies in Spaceland, which is set in the 1980’s. When Activision first unveiled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the game received a massive amount of hate from disgruntled fans angry about its futuristic, science-fiction setting. Well, as it turns out, some aspects of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare package will not be set in the future; in fact, the game’s Zombies mode will be set in the 1980’s, and is called Zombies in Spaceland....

The previously rumored Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy was announced during the Japanese Nintendo Direct Mini on Monday. The sequel will be launching globally this Winter, and when it releases it will be the first time in Atelier history that a protagonist in the series gets a follow-up adventure. And there’s probably a reason for that. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout was the best-selling game in the RPG series with over 420,000 copies shipped worldwide, according to Gematsu....
