Activision and Sledgehammer Games have been very deliberate with their reveals for Call of Duty: WW2. While the campaign reveal came first, and was then followed by multiplayer at E3 2017, many fans have wondered if and when a zombies reveal would eventually arrive. While many fans were already well aware that Call of Duty: WW2 will be at San Diego Comic Con later this month, Activision has confirmed that the fan-favorite zombies mode will finally be revealed....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 made the decision not to feature a single-player story campaign. Instead, it included the series’ traditional multiplayer content, as well as the new battle royale mode, Blackout. However, there’s a chance that not all of the games in the franchise will ditch single-player moving forward. According to job listings by developer Infinity Ward, which is currently working on this year’s Call of Duty game, the qualifications for an associate game designer states that the developer wants candidates who have, “A broad understanding of both multiplayer and single player game design....

Call of Duty Mobile has seen some incredible growth over the last year, pulling several maps and modes from past games while also introducing original creations. The latest Call of Duty Mobile mode should be familiar to fans of the most recent Call of Duty titles, as 3v3 Gunfight is coming soon. Going by the name Face Off in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the 3v3 variant of Gunfight sees two extra players added into the mix....

Although the basic details of the game’s setting, the main character, and additional features have been released, not much is known about Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise is set to begin in the Dark Ages of the 9th Century, specifically 873 AD, following a Viking leader by the name of Eivor. So far, with only one trailer released, there haven’t been many real-life figures confirmed for the game....

Though Rocksteady is staying in and expanding the Arkhamverse with the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and WB Montréal is going elsewhere in a Batman-less Batman multiverse with Gotham Knights, Bat-fans will always lovingly remember and dive back into the revolutionary Batman: Arkham series. While Christopher Nolan effectively revived the superhero theatrically from 2005-2012, Rocksteady did the equivalent in video games from 2009-2015. Batman: Arkham City is generally regarded as the crowning achievement of this illustrious series....

SpongeBob Squarepants Battle For Bikini Bottom (BFBB) was a 2003 classic action-adventure game based on the tv series by Nickelodeon. It had everything you would want to see from a SpongeBob game - him goofing off with all of his undersea friends, iconic locations like Goo Lagoon, cartoonish gags, and a great sense of humor. One of the greatest 3D collect-a-thon platformers, like; Spyro The Dragon, Banjo-Kazooie, and Super Mario 64 - with puzzles, collectibles, and bosses....

The official Battlefield 1 Twitter account confirms that the next game in the series will have a server browser, despite Star Wars Battlefront abandoning the feature. Battlefield 1 seems to be enjoying unprecedented excitement for the franchise, and some would credit EA and DICE for listening to the wants of the Battlefield fans for this positive response. Almost every piece of information released about Battlefield 1 seems to be good news, and the announcement that the game will have a server browser for multiplayer is sure to please fans as well....

Developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts almost blew it. They may already have. With the Call of Duty franchise - reigning king of first-person shooter genre - seemingly peaked, scoring slightly weaker reviews, slightly lower sales figures and certainly a lot less buzz in each successive annual installment, the timing was perfect to grab more of that market share with Battlefield. A novel’s worth of characters and sub-plots are too great for two hours of viewing. Bethesda has kept many of the details about its upcoming games close to the studio’s chest, as there are only two projects confirmed to be in development, Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6. For Fallout fans, this makes it seem likely that Fallout 5 is easily around a decade away. While this may be disappointing for fans of the franchise, there are some good reasons that a long wait for Fallout 5 could be good for the series....

After a lengthy stretch of silence, Experiment 101 and THQ Nordic’s sci-fi action RPG project Biomutant is back in the public eye. The developers haven’t had anything to say about the game’s state of development for a while; however, a recent financial report from THQ Nordic revealed that Biomutant was still in development. It’s a sigh of relief for every fan of the new IP. Besides a gameplay trailer released last June, information about the game has been exceedingly scarce....

BioWare is actively searching for a Live Service Executive Producer for its upcoming title Anthem, and the position details reveal that BioWare plans on keeping Anthem around for years after launch. The main job in the listing is to “ensure that the game design, systems, and economies of our games are built to maintain player engagement and our business for years of successful live game service,” which could include designing new events to keep players engaged, and planning new content to hook players in long-term....

While some vestiges were sure to remain, in the form of the Aquaman and Shazam! sequels and possibly the stand-alone Flash film, several indicators suggested that Warner Bros. wanted to seek a new direction....

Borderlands 3 doesn’t launch until September, but one fan will reportedly be able to play the looter shooter sometime in June. His name is Trevor Eastman, and he has been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal, stomach, and liver cancer. The prognosis didn’t suggest he would be able to see the launch of Borderlands 3, so he turned to the gaming community. Eastman turned to the official Borderlands Reddit about a month ago, explaining his predicament and how he has been a “huge fan of Borderlands for a long time now....

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel released back in 2014, following Handsome Jack and his team over the course of his transformation from adventurer to affably evil dictator. Fans got to play as favorite characters from the last game like Claptrap and experience the events leading up to Borderlands 2 in another comical addition to the famous looter-shooter franchise. Borderlands 3, however, seems to have left the Pre-Sequel behind. Borderlands 3 released in 2019 and has barely acknowledged any of the characters in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel or the events of the game....

That’s a wrap on Borderlands. Gearbox just announced the Borderlands movie has completed filming in Budapest, Hungary, which means that it’s on to the editing stage of production. To celebrate the occasion, Gearbox and Lionsgate released the first image of Claptrap that wasn’t just a silhouette. The smarmy robot basically looks the same as he does in Borderlands 3, which confirms earlier reports that the movie will at least look just like the game....

Women fighting appears to be the theme lately. First there was stuntwoman Zoë Bell’s (Kill Bill, Xena Warrior Princess) viral video compilation of famous actresses getting into a (very well choreographed) fight with each other, then came an announcement of a documentary about the stuntwomen who have put their lives on the line throughout Hollywood history. The latter is a Michelle Rodriguez narrated documentary called Stuntwomen: The Untold Hollywood Story. It explores the lives of the women called upon to perform some of Hollywood’s most dangerous action sequences....

It’s easy to see the rain as an annoyance in Breath of the Wild, but that downpour is as life-sustaining for Nintendo’s open world as it is for all the living organisms on Earth. Link can scale anything in Hyrule as long as he has the stamina for it, scurrying up sheer cliff faces as if he’s been bitten by a radioactive spider. Yet, somehow, the world manages to contain this unbridled freedom....

There is still more than a week left in the Solstice of Heroes event in Destiny 2. While players continue to grind away, Bungie unveiled one final update to the event’s armor set visuals to appease player expectations. This bit of news came with the latest This Week at Bungie article which previewed patch notes from the September update for Destiny 2. As players started to tinker around with the new glowing armor sets, they found the glow effect to not only be faint compared to last year’s, but also disappointing regarding the marketing images Bungie used....
