Infinity Ward promised a massive new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale, and it certainly delivered. The huge Season 5 download went live in the early morning hours of August 5, bringing significant changes to both the standard multiplayer experience as well as the battle royale mode. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone will be entering into its haunted Verdansk event this week. This Halloween-themed experience comes with new skins inspired by horror movie villains Jigsaw (from Saw) and Leatherface (from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) which will be added to Modern Warfare’s in-game store. Although the skins do cost money to obtain, it appears that Leatherface has an additional promotion associated with him. Fans can earn a free Leatherface Emblem and Calling Card for use in Modern Warfare and Warzone if they complete one simple task....

Call of Duty: Warzone is getting festive, albeit a little bit early, for the upcoming 4th of July celebration. The lobby has been updated ahead of time in order to get players feeling patriotic for Independence Day, and so far it seems most fans are enjoying the small change. This isn’t the first time the lobby of Call of Duty: Warzone has changed, and it likely won’t be the last. This gives developers a relatively easy way to add in small touches here or there to the game as a nod to current events or upcoming holidays....

Since its release, several bugs and exploits have been patched, but it seems that since the integration, the game is experiencing a resurgence of problems. Call of Duty: Warzone was a welcome addition to gaming’s battle royale scene and the free-to-play release managed to take what Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode was and improve it in a variety of ways. It was later discovered that Activision was able to detect if any accounts were using Engine Owning software to cheat in Warzone. While the initiative from Activision was a fresh breath of air, it is not a solution to the problem in Warzone....

When Dead Space first released in 2008, it was widely well received as a great work of horror/sci-fi storytelling that had players assuming the role of an everyman engineer trapped on a ship infested with Necromorphs.
