In a bid to broaden its western development boundaries, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced its acquisition of Reflector Entertainment. The procurement is subject to customary closing conditions - such as Canadian regulatory approvals - however BNEE plans to absorb the subsidiary Reflector Interactive Productions as well. BNEE and Reflector’s common interest is to reach a greater audience through innovative projects on a variety of platforms outside – and including – the video games industry....

While not officially apart of the E3 2017 festivities, EA kicked off the annual event with the new show, EA Play, letting fans go hands on with many of its upcoming titles like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Need for Speed Payback. Biomutant, an open world action RPG where players take control of a highly customizable anthropomorphic animal, was first revealed with an impressive Gamescom trailer back in 2017. While it was expected to launch within a couple of years of its announcement, Biomutant’s release date has eluded fans - until now, that is. Following an extended development process, the Biomutant release date has been confirmed for May 25, 2021. The release date announcement was made on the official Biomutant Twitter account, where it was confirmed that the game would be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One....

The Nintendo Switch has done an excellent job of introducing classic games to a handheld platform for the very first time, and it looks as if that catalogue is continuing to grow. The BioShock Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, and XCOM 2 Collection have all dropped on the console and are now available for purchase in the Nintendo eShop. The BioShock Collection consists of all three classic games in the series: BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite....

Blizzard has added an NPC to World of Warcraft to commemorate the life of legendary PvPer and Twitch streamer, Reckful. Well, Warcraft players were asking for it, and it looks like Blizzard was listening. A month after the reported death of Byron “Reckful” Bernstein, Blizzard has heeded to call to honor his life by adding an NPC to WoW with his name on it. You can find that NPC in the Cathedral of Light, coincidentally the same spot where thousands upon thousands of WoW players paid tribute following news of Reckful’s passing....

Blizzard dropped the latest patch for Overwatch yesterday that made moderate adjustments to some of the current playable heroes, while adding a brand new one, Doomfist. Most were welcomed changes, but an unexpected tweak to respawn timing ended up throwing players for a loop. In response to the confusion, Blizzard has taken to the forums to clear things up. The source of the issue stems from the way the change is described in the Overwatch patch notes....

I like to think of myself as a bit of an aficionado of sports titles, but the Blood Bowl series had previously passed me by. I had window watched it, of course, but just as I have never been able to get into golf the way I have with practically every other sport, I had never actually played Blood Bowl. One of the main voice actors for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has teased the bright future for a fan-favorite character during a Twitch stream. Call of Duty received its long awaited fourth season recently, which finally brought new content to both Modern Warfare and Warzone, with the latter receiving in-match events that are sure to radically shake up otherwise standard battle-royale matches. It did also bring with it a pretty meaty download size of 34.7GB, which has been prompting some to uninstall the games since they take up so much space, but Infinity Ward is working to fix that....
