Call of Duty games have always been extremely competitive. From GameBattles matches in the Call of Duty 4 days to the Call of Duty League (CDL), players love to team up, show up, and show out against top-notch competitors. As the 2020 CDL comes to a close, and the winners of the Modern Warfare tournament walk away with thrones as awards, the official Twitter page of the league informed fans about a couple of changes for next season, and it’s going to shake things up drastically....

Call of Duty: Warzone has been getting a lot of flack lately for its notorious cheating problem, and it doesn’t seem to be going away. Activision is currently in the process of instituting massive ban waves to try and deal with the fallout, but history has shown this is easier said than done. Cheaters are generally the bane of the online community, to put it mildly, and will quickly tank the fun factor on any server that’s unlucky enough to host them....

Like a lot of you, I’m sure, I’ve been Pokémon-ing for twenty years now. While Batman: Arkham Knight remains one of the most critically-acclaimed games of the year so far, the game hasn’t been without its technical issues. However, steps are being made to improve the game, with the PS4 leaderboards now fixed and Rocksteady leading the charge on fixing the broken PC version. In the meantime, those that have actually been able to play Batman: Arkham Knight have been busy cleaning up Gotham, which includes foiling the nefarious plot of Scarecrow and the titular Arkham Knight, while also taking down Batman’s other villains in a variety of side missions....

A German developer for DICE’s and Electronic Arts’ forthcoming World War I shooter Battlefield 1 teases the game’s beta will run after this year’s gamescom. According to Battlefield 1’s German Community Manager Sebastian Moritz, fans of the franchise will be getting the chance to access the forthcoming title’s long-awaited open beta “shortly after gamescom.” The tease comes from a recent Twitch stream from the game with CmdKrieger, but unfortunately, it wasn’t confirmed exactly when the test would take place....

Messengers are the most unique NPCs in Bloodborne, essentially functioning as a personified version of the Orange Soapstone system seen in the Dark Souls games. Messenger skins are all unlocked by different means, but do a good job at giving Yharnam some much needed life....

Since the launch of Destiny 2, developer Bungie has come under fire regarding design choices made to the long-awaited sequel. Most recently, players have taken issue with the game’s shader system, which locks more than half of the cosmetic items behind the Eververse paywall, something that Bungie has finally acknowledged on social media.
