Ever since the official reveal of Call of Duty: WW2, publisher Activision and developer Sledgehammer Games have been eking out details regarding the forthcoming first-person shooter, and now it looks as if the latter studio has confirmed that the game will feature multiplayer maps not seen in the campaign. While the single-player campaign will primarily be placed on the European front, areas in the title’s multiplayer won’t be overly connected to the places seen within its story mode....

EA and DICE have come out swinging with new Battlefield V information at GamesCom 2018. Last week, fans got a glimpse at the destructive combat awaiting them in the Destruction of Rotterdam trailer. There are a lot of descriptions we could use for the fact that, even spending five years in development, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was, rather spectacularly, infested with bugs after the game’s launch: unfortunate, careless, frustrating, Bethesda. PlayStation 3 owners get to use one more: foreboding. The same buggy pitfalls that befell Skyrim after its multi-platform launch last November have, on Bethesda’s own admission, seeped into Dawnguard, the game’s first expansion....

As we declared last year, Borderlands 3 was one of the games we had hoped to see at E3 2018, but of course, the event came and went without a peep about a new entry in Gearbox Software’s first-person shooter series. Now, though, it looks as if fans of the franchise could finally be getting official confirmation of the sequel’s existence, with Gearbox having shared a tweet today that lists a March 28 date along with artwork similar to the visuals found within the IP’s games....

I love a good period drama that eschews “period-appropriate” tunes (whatever that means, when you’re talking non-diegetic music) to go with something a bit more modern. The Bridgerton soundtrack takes this route, with a twist. The Netflix series includes classical versions of a handful of contemporary pop tunes, from Ariana Grande to Shawn Mendes classical covers. “Everything on the show has a contemporary sensibility to it,” Bridgerton showrunner Chris Van Dusen told Seventeen....

Cross-play is a feature that has gained significant steam over the past few years, essentially enabling players to play together in multiplayer games regardless of the platform. First really championed by Rocket League, the movement has since come to many other popular multiplayer focused games including Fortnite, Paladins, and Gears of War 4 to name a few. It seems the appeal of cross-play is also reaching even more mainstream games as Bungie is now considering the feature for its popular shooter, Destiny 2....

Killstreaks are a core part of Call of Duty’s frantic multiplayer. Players are rewarded for killing multiple enemies in a single life with powerful air support and equipment that can swing matches in your favor. Modern Warfare 3 would later go on to introduce Supportstreaks, allowing objective plays to count towards killstreaks as well. Regardless of what the game calls them, killstreaks can lead to some hectic encounters in any CoD game....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s mid-season update added a new mid-size map to the standard multiplayer called Cheshire Park. So far, fan reaction to Cheshire Park in Modern Warfare seems to be mostly positive, but fans have discovered a bizarre bus stop on the map that appears to be invincible, giving players who know to utilize it an advantage. A video posted to Reddit by user LucaTheCat shows the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Cheshire Park map’s bus stop (located on the southern side of the map in the Retail Row section next to a large red bus) is seemingly impervious to bullets....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been a massive hit for Activision, with the base game selling millions and the Warzone battle royale becoming one of the most-played BR games of all time.
