At Comic-Con last summer, Marvel made made a surprise announcement on the video games front, unveiling Deadpool, the game based on every comic reader’s favorite Merc with a Mouth. Developed by High Moon Studios, the creative house behind the Transformers series of games for Activision, Activision hopes Deadpool can turn their Marvel fortunes around after the epic failure that was X-Men: Destiny. In the months since the announcement, we’ve slowly learned of some of the supporting characters from Marvel Comics who will making appearances alongside Wade Wilson in the title, including Domino and now, their mutual “friend,” Cable....

Call of Duty: World at War is known for having a good campaign and for introducing the Zombies mode to Call of Duty. The game is also known for its multiplayer maps, taking players across different battlefields of World War II. It is common for players to rank the maps of their favorite Call of Duty, ranking maps from Black Ops and the Modern Warfare series. Maps from World at War can take the player to the cities of Germany, the islands controlled by Japan, and even into the Reichstag....

Right now and until April 3, Call of Duty: WW2 will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with its Operation: Shamrock & Awe multiplayer event. Shamrock & Awe is giving players the chance to unlock a ton of new cosmetic items and weapons, but it also added a new game mode called Leprechaun Hunt Mosh Pit. And as its name implies, Leprechaun Hunt Mosh Pit allows players to hunt a leprechaun. A zombie leprechaun, to be exact....

Despite launching only last month, Call of Duty: WW2 is already the best selling console game of 2017, according to a new report published by market research company The NPD Group. These statistics, which are based on North American figures, continue the franchise’s trend of historically great sales. This is another banner achievement for the Call of Duty series, which is the best selling game of the year for the ninth year in a row....

Atari has announced Pong Quest, an RPG based on its iconic video game Pong. The company has fallen from grace since achieving success with Pong in 1972 but Atari has released spin-offs of its most popular series as it tries to get back on top. In Pong Quest, the new game from Atari and developer Chequered Ink, a Pong paddle has been turned into a playable character with a face. In the game’s story mode, there will be “RPG-esque battles” set in dungeons from other Atari games like Centipede and Asteroids....

An attempted robbery at a 24hr Game Cafe in Okinawa has left one worker dead and the other worker injured, and the perpetrator has still yet to be apprehended. Gaming Cafes have taken inspiration from gaming history’s early days of arcades that have been established with physical interaction and are slowly gaining in popularity around the world. Game Cafes essentially put back the physical presence of the social interaction aspect of gaming by serving drinks and light snacks....

Weapon upgrading is par for the course in any FromSoftware game. The Blood Moon is a mysterious phenomenon experienced in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
