Supermassive Games defied expectations with the PS4-exclusive horror game Until Dawn, which released to strong reviews despite a somewhat troubled development cycle. Outside of a cinematic announcement trailer and some leaked images that surfaced over the last few months, not much is known about Bethesda Game Studios’ next RPG, Starfield. The open-world adventure is still a mystery to fans, however, it seems one lucky player will have the opportunity to design their own character to star in it. Revealed via the company’s Twitter account, Bethesda will be auctioning off a bundle that includes an Xbox Series X with 16 games and the opportunity for one lucky fan to design their own Starfield character that will be added to the RPG....

BioShock 4 has been officially confirmed as in development. Though nobody knows how far along the game is, the newly-formed Cloud Chamber studio is definitely working on BioShock 4, though it’s still years away. While the gameplay of the BioShock games is definitely well-crafted, what draws many players into the franchise is the world itself....

Along with Sonic the Hedgehog and Robert Downey, Jr.’s Dolittle, Birds of Prey was one of the last major Hollywood releases before movie theaters were indefinitely closed to accommodate the spread of coronavirus. While the virus is obviously a big factor in the movie’s failure to break even at the box office, Sonic managed to pull in blockbuster numbers in the same release window. After a long wait, it looks like wireless sports buds fans will finally be getting a Bose product. In addition to the Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700, a recent leak revealed that the Bose Earbuds 500 are allegedly slated to launch sometime in 2020. Headphone jacks are still available in many new products, but there’s a rising market for wireless earbuds, and Bose is ready to deliver. Other companies have released options for high-quality wireless earbuds, but so far Bose hasn’t focused as much on that particular product....

Bugsnax is an outwardly adorable game about catching bugs that take the form of food. It took a bit of a sinister turn when the game’s announcement trailer showed a character devour a cute strawberry with googly eyes, but for the most part, many people thought that Bugsnax was going to a wholesome experience about exploring an unknown island, catching snack-based critters along the way. What we got was a darker story than most anticipated, but at least it wasn’t as dark as what the developer originally had planned....

A new trademark was filed last summer at the USPTO and was recently approved for a whole host of different items, including shirts, games, books, novels, films boots, playing cards, action figures, and “fan conventions in the fields of video and computer games.” So yeah, Bungie might just be about to start its own developer-specific convention....

A new, action-packed trailer has released for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The annual Call of Duty title is set to release next month. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War marks developer Treyarch’s fifth entry for its Black Ops series, and eighth in the CoD franchise as a whole. Their latest effort, co-developed with Raven Software, looks to be extremely popular, as Cold War is reportedly the most-downloaded series beta ever....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the most successful entries to the franchise in quite some time. Its emphasis on realism, particularly with weapons, provides a highly immersive multiplayer experience. Infinity Ward spent considerable time learning each gun’s nuances to ensure when added to the game, they felt and sounded real. However, this focus on realism means all weapons behave differently when fired. As such, some of them have quite a kickback that can be difficult to handle effectively....

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare will be receiving plenty of new content through the big Season 6 update, and with that new content drop comes another battle pass.
