Yesterday saw the much-anticipated reveal of Call of Duty: WW2, a long-awaited return to historical combat for the long-running first-person shooter franchise. Call of Duty: WW2 is set to introduce a lot of new ideas to the series, including a novel new addition to its multiplayer modes. In between multiplayer matches, combatants will be able to interact in social spaces in a mode that’s being referred to as Headquarters. There’s now word that this activity will support as many as 48 players at any given time, based on information laid out on the game’s Xbox Store listing....

Letting players team up to put enemies back in the dirt, the Zombies modes have been a popular component of the COD games for a long time now....

Bethesda’s lawyers are putting them in hot water from the perspective of gamers. It began with an out-of-the-blue legal notice sent to Minecraft creator Markus Persson (Notch) over the use of the word “Scrolls” as the title of Mojang’s next game. See, Bethesda’s cornerstone franchise, The Elder Scrolls, also contains that word and therefore, according to their legal team, it’s trademark infringement. Bethesda just came out of another failed legal proceeding against Masthead Studios and Interplay Entertainment regarding the Fallout MMO they’re working on and it’s possible they’re setting themselves up for another failure by going to court against Mojang....

Three decades after starring in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will reprise their titular roles in the third installment of the film series. Now, Alex Winter has announced that Bill and Ted Face the Music will move up its On Demand and limited theatrical release date by a week to August 28, 2020. Released in 1989, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure followed the titular duo as they travel through time to meet historical figures in order to pass their history class....

Since the announcement of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, fans have been informed that no multiplayer will be available in the remastered anthology. However, it seems the studio hasn’t scrapped this idea completely and Mass Effect 3 online multiplayer may still see the light of day later down the road. Legendary Edition won’t include multiplayer at launch, and the team previously said that reviving the mode would have delayed the rest of the remaster....
