The looter shooter genre has become tremendously popular in recent years, with some fantastic titles helping to popularize the concept. FPS games have been huge since Doom, but the idea of complementing the intense blasting action with the inherent gamer need for rewards and loot was inspired. There’s no question that Gearbox’s Borderlands franchise has become one of the biggest names in looter shooters, with its characteristic ‘lootsplosions’ constantly offering the promise of fantastic gear such as a prized Legendary....

Borderlands 3 has done a lot of good things, from its engaging Mayhem mode difficulty system to excellent in-game events like Revenge of the Cartels. The latest entry in the looter-shooter series also took some risks when it came to its Raid bosses, as these came in the form of free post-launch takedowns as opposed to being added via the game’s premium expansions. A brand new gameplay trailer has dropped for developer Surgical Scalpels’ Boundary, the zero gravity first-person shooter. The short video showcases what to expect in moment-to-moment space gameplay in Boundary, and it seems rather impressive. The ambitions of Boundary are enough to turn heads. A frantic FPS in space with heavily armed astronauts in zero gravity gunfights struck many players as both an amazing idea and something very difficult to pull off....

A Baldur’s Gate 3 player has managed to round up every single barrel, crate, trunk, and chest in the game and pile them up at their camp. It’s an exceptional collection that reminds one of the Room of Requirement from Harry Potter. Of course, they had to blow the whole thing up one in one spectacular, GPU melting blaze of glory. Baldur’s Gate 3 released in early access just a few weeks ago, and evidently, players are already starting to look for creative ways to enjoy the game before Larian is able to build in more content....

It may have taken a year of delays to get Batman: Arkham Knight on shelves and functioning (on at least two out of three platforms), but there are no delays holding back the game’s DLC packs. The $40 price tag on the season pass caused a bit of controversy when it was first announced, but as the days count down to the release of Batgirl: A Matter of Family, it’s hard not to get excited for the new content....
