One of the most appealing features about battle royale games is the fact that there are constant changes in order to the game fresh for months and months. One of the games that has gotten very few updates, however, is Call of Duty Mobile. Ever since the mobile first-person shooter was released, the battle royale section of the game has been a bit neglected. That’s all about to change, as developer TiMi Studios has revealed the map will be getting a major overhaul, with a whole new section being added to the top of the map....

The evergrowing nature of Call of Duty Mobile leads to constant additions of new maps, modes, and weapons. A new weapon rarity is set to arrive to Call of Duty Mobile soon, and the first weapon to have the special rarity attached to it will be the Fennec SMG. The quick-killing Fennec submachine gun will not be getting any stronger through its Mythic rarity, which should come as a relief to many players that have been insta-killed by the weapon....

About two weeks ago it was teased that fan-favorite map Rust from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would be added into Call of Duty: Mobile. Yesterday, Activision announced that the map will be coming to the title, along with an update scheduled for next week via a Community Update on the r/CallOfDutyMobile subreddit. While the Community Update does not specify exactly when players will be able to expect this addition to Call of Duty: Mobile, it will likely come sometime in early May based on the events schedule that lists it below the end of the Gun Game Team Fight and Rapid Fire modes which both expire on April 30....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the highly anticipated followup to one of the longest running triple-A series in modern video games, and there is endless speculation about how it will play compared to the previous two Assassin’s Creed games, which pioneered the RPG formula that Valhalla will be building on. From what has been announced, there will be several slight tweaks to the design of this Assassin’s Creed title, but it remains to be seen how well the game is executed....

The proper reveal of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been gratuitous, to say the least. Already, players are aware of some of the game’s mechanics like the ship crew and raids, some of the game’s story beats like King Alfred, and the apparent presence of Odin in the main storyline. Now, one of the newest reveals is that of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s romance system, with inspiration taken from AC Odyssey. It’s worth mentioning that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was the first franchise entry to feature optional romances, so it’s not too big of a surprise to see it present in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla....

One of EA’s biggest franchises is Battlefield, with the company recently confirming that the next Battlefield game will be revealed this spring with a planned release later this year. Details on the next Battlefield game remain scarce at the time of this writing. EA hasn’t revealed the setting, player count specifics, or anything of that nature, but it seems as though fans can check off one possibility when it comes to the next Battlefield....

InXile Entertainment has really knocked it out of the park with Wasteland 3. Despite technical issues, it is turning out to be one of the finest western RPGs of the year. Black Desert Online, the Korean sandbox MMO turned buy-to-play for western release, is now available. Its launch trailer explores the MMO’s horizons, while tantalizing. It’s a sad fact that localization takes longer and longer as games grow larger, especially so with respects to MMOs. Black Desert Online launched in Korea in 2014 and its publisher Daum has been hard at work preparing the game for wider release since then. Japan and Russia came next, in part due to their friendliness to free-to-play MMO structures....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has given fans a quick layout of some of the perks available to players in the new Blackout Battle Royale mode. Anyone following Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will know that the game is attempting to join the Battle Royale craze by including a new mode called Blackout BR, which, for better or worse, was added in favor of a traditional campaign mode. It’s been a rough road for Black Panther 2, but after COVID-19 delays, film-industry chaos, and the unexpected death of its lead actor in August, it’s scheduled to finally start production in July.
