More and more documents are coming out of the Apple vs Epic lawsuit that got started on Monday. The latest shows just how much Epic paid Take-Two Interactive to make Borderlands 3 exclusive on the Epic Games Store. GamesDiscoverCo founder Simon Carless uploaded this image showing how much Epic paid Take-Two for its exclusive arrangement. The total payout was $115 million, including an $80 million minimum sales guarantee, $15 million on marketing, and $20 million on “non-recoupable fees....

Borderlands 3 Designer’s Cut DLC is set to release next month on November 10. This new content will, among other things, bring a bunch of new skills to our beloved Vault Hunters, and Gearbox is offering a sneak peek at a few of the new abilities. First up is Amara, who will be getting a new Phaseflare Action Skill. This summons a massive controllable orb that lets her deal elemental damage to anyone in its path....

The Overwatch League has many official teams participating in the league bracket including Boston’s Boston Uprising. In a recent promotion to get fans of Boston Uprising who don’t own Overwatch to play the game, the team recently gave away free copies of Overwatch to its fans. While initially seen as a good idea, the number of people claiming the prize grew to far more than what Boston Uprising had expected. This was due to people sharing the form that allowed people to claim their free copy of Overwatch and spreading it beyond the Boston Uprising fanbase....

The British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) has partnered with developer Motorsport Games to launch its own video game in 2022. The new release will be the first official BTCC game since TOCA 2 Touring Cars, which was based on the 1998 season of the British Touring Car Championship. TOCA 2 Touring Cars, developed and published by Codemasters, allowed players to advance through the 1998 BTCC season and participate in the Formula Ford and the Ford Fiesta Championship....

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta is now live on the Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Although the beta started last week on the PS4, this weekend the Black Ops Cold War beta sees new content for all platforms that should excite players. Between Thursday, October 15 and Monday, October 19, the Black Ops Cold War beta will see a bevy of modes and maps. The idea is that a rotating list of options will be made available over the weekend for those who play the Black Ops Cold War beta....

When fans first entered the multiplayer arenas of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare they noticed one key feature missing. Following it’s launch last month, Call of Duty fans have been waiting for the integration between the free to play Warzone with Black Ops Cold War. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War marked the first time in the series where a proper intel system was provided for Zombies players. Allowing fans of the Zombies storyline to listen to audio logs and read lore-heavy files in the main menu, the system gives players the chance to study up on the mode’s narrative without leading a zombie around the map. New intel was added to Zombies as part of the first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, giving players more collectibles to gather....

Late last year, Infinity Ward added Drop Zone to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for a limited time. For the uninitiated, Drop Zone is a popular mode that originated in Modern Warfare 3, and many fans were excited to have it available in Modern Warfare. Unfortunately, Drop Zone disappeared for a bit, but now it’s coming back as part of the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update. Ever since Treyarch introduced their unique Zombies mode in Call of Duty: World at War, the Call of Duty franchise has focused on including a third type of game mode in every entry since. Infinity Ward’s attempt at a replayable mode came in the form of Modern Warfare 2’s Special Operations mode, more frequently known as Spec Ops. Spec Ops focuses on time-trial missions based on campaign levels or unique setpieces....

The mid-Season 4 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone added a lot of new content for players to take part in, with Infinity Ward’s released patch notes detailing new weapons, playlists, and plenty of fixes. However, less publicly discussed are the elements that Activision and the developers on its ongoing first-person shooter titles have removed, such as the controversial Warzone Rumble mode. Warzone Rumble was first added to the game when Season 4 began on June 11, 2020, offering players an alternative to the battle royale that splits players into two teams of 50, offers automatic respawning without the use of its signature Gulag, and allows for custom loadouts....

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 is in full swing, and like most Call of Duty seasons, it adds two new weapons for players to add to their arsenal. Perhaps the most popular new weapon is the SP-R 208 marksman rifle, which has proven to be quite effective, to the point that many players have criticized it as being overpowered. An SP-R 208 nerf is in the works for Call of Duty: Warzone, but before that happens, players may want to try to take advantage of the weapon by putting together a loadout that makes it even more overpowered....

For the past couple of years, PlayStation 4 owners have enjoyed timed-exclusivity for Call of Duty’s expansion packs, and the same will be true for the upcoming Call of Duty: WW2. While concrete details on the first expansion for Call of Duty: WW2 still have yet to be revealed, we now know its name, PS4 release date, and a tease of what to expect. Call of Duty: WW2’s first expansion is called The Resistance and it will launch on January 30th as a timed-exclusive for PlayStation 4....

Backwards compatibility has been the cornerstone of Microsoft’s pitch for the upcoming Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. At launch, Microsoft will have over 1000 games available to play. Sure, the vast majority of those games will be older titles or games upgraded to work on the current-gen consoles, but even if you’re playing an older game on the Series X/S, it’ll look better than it did on your old Xbox....
