Popular free to play battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone has had its fair share of glitches and broken weaponry, but the game’s newest bug combines both in a shocking way. Warzone players have discovered that they are being killed by, of all things, their own heartbeat sensors. While Warzone’s broken vehicles were fixed recently, Infinity Ward will need to look at some of the game’s equipment next. First and foremost is the buggy but beloved heartbeat sensor that is carried around by most serious Warzone players, as its newest glitch makes it a deadly weapon....

Infinity Ward added the crossbow weapon to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare earlier this year, and while it may be overshadowed by the Renetti handgun, it’s still very deadly in the hands of a skilled player. There are ways to make the crossbow even deadlier, with one loadout in particular designed to make the crossbow one of the most overpowered weapons that players can use in Call of Duty: Warzone....

Today, publisher Activision and developer Sledgehammer Games officially announced that the Mission: Impossible and Pulp Fiction actor Ving Rhames is set to star in the lead role for Call of Duty: WW2’s Zombies mode as the character Jefferson Potts. However, beyond the reveal of Rhames’ inclusion in the cast and his character’s name, the creators of the forthcoming first-person shooter did not divulge any further information regarding his role. As seen in the tweet below, Activision and Sledgehammer Games announced Ving Rhames’ inclusion in Call of Duty: WW2’s Zombies alongside the countdown of there being just one more day left until the publisher and developer takes the stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 to formally unveil the game mode to the masses....

Last year, Call of Duty Mobile released to the Call of Duty community, though not in China. Now, however, TiMi Studios is bringing Call of Duty Mobile to the Chinese market, with a successful public beta leading the charge last week. The developer has been hard at work updating its titles through the Anniversary and Halloween events. The game continuously gains new content, bringing in fan-favorite features from other titles in the Call of Duty franchise....

Activision Blizzard announces a new division called Activision Blizzard Studios, which is developing a Call of Duty movie universe and a Skylanders TV show. Few would argue that the vast majority of films based on games turn out to be awful, but that trend looks to be turning around thanks to video game companies becoming more involved with the production of films based on their franchises. We’re seeing this with the way Sony is handling the upcoming Ratchet & Clank film, for example, and now we’re seeing it from Activision Blizzard as well....

As it stands, remastered versions of classic titles have made up a significant portion of the titles available on new generation consoles. Often, these updated versions were games released near the end of the old gen console run, given a new lease of life with a new set of players. Some of these remastered editions have been tremendous successes, with the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V gaining tremendous plaudits for their wealth of new features, including the highly anticipated first person mode....

Pokemon games are all about adventure. At just ten years old, you get chucked a magical creature capable of causing floods, forest fires, or debilitating poisoning, and go on your merry way. You hike across continents through a huge variety of terrain, from mountains and deserts to vast oceans and rainforests, all without so much as a sprained ankle. In Pokemon Sword and Shield, you can even camp. Unfortunately, all my simulated camping and adventuring did not prepare me for it in real life....

Dungeons & Dragons publisher Wizards of the Coast has come under fire by one of the contributors of the recently released Candlekeep Mysteries. The writer claims that the publisher overhauled their contribution to the D&D supplement so severely that he no longer wants his name attached to future printings of the book. Graeme Barber, a games writer and designer better known by his online pseudonym PanzerLion, took to Twitter earlier this week to detail his surprise of finding the material he submitted so heavily altered....

The Tokyo Game Show will feature details about the upcoming Resident Evil: Village title from Capcom and interesting news regarding some of their other titles. According to Capcom’s own site regarding the event, they’ll be holding a two-hour presentation at the 2020 Tokyo Game Show on September 27th. The first half will have a brief gameplay reveal for Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. Following that presentation, they’ll dive into a half-hour presentation for Village....

Let’s rock, Astro! Devil May Cry’s Dante makes a small cameo in Astro’s Playroom, a free platformer for the newly released PS5. TheGamesCage (otherwise known as Fadel) found the demon-slaying hero in a space level, keeping his enemy in the air with pellets rather than bullets. This Astro version of Dante is still holding his iconic weapons Ebony and Ivory. He also has his slick red coat and ghostly white hair....

The intense, rich storytelling of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is exemplary, providing heart-stopping moments in both Hajime Isayama’s manga and the anime adaptation. It’s hard to imagine that these developed characters and the manga’s world building came from one mind, and the mangaka’s intricate planning is apparent in the amount of foreshadowing throughout the narrative. One example of this goes as far back as season 1, where Armin Arlert appears to voice the events of season 4....

Indie developer Inti Creates has been really busy over the last year. In addition to working on Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, the 2D powerhouse announced at BitSummit last night that production of Azure Striker GUNVOLT 3 is currently underway. That’s something I didn’t expect to hear come up again. Unlike Curse of the Moon 2, GUNVOLT 3 currently does not have a release date and is fairly early into development....

Xbox Game Pass remains the best deal in gaming, and the competition for that title really isn’t even that close. While there’s rarely a bad time to be a Game Pass subscriber (even when Xbox’s own first-party offerings start looking a little thin), anyone looking to dive into some horror games this time of year should feel especially excited to have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. After all, one of the biggest “problems” with some of the best modern horror games is the fact that they can be a little intimidating....

In past years, E3 didn’t traditionally kick off until Monday morning, when Microsoft takes the stage at the Galen Center for its pre-E3 briefing. However, as E3’s popularity has grown, so too has the event’s reach. What was once only a three-day event, now occupies close to a week. Michel Ancel, the creator of Beyond Good & Evil, recently confirmed that the game was still under development during a recent interview about the franchise. Cult hit games that end up becoming commercial failures don’t come around too often, but it’s safe to say the original Beyond Good & Evil was one of these games. Fans hoping for an eventual sequel have been keeping faith for many years, and while we know Beyond Good & Evil 2 is fighting the good fight as it slowly crawls through development hell, one can’t help but worry that the game will never come to fruition....

As part of the boatload of Anthem information that was released yesterday, developer BioWare revealed that its upcoming sci-fi RPG would not feature the romance gameplay that its other series’ are known for. In fact, not only would Anthem not include any romanceable NPC squadmates, but the game will not include any NPC squadmates at all. Discussing this somewhat controversial decision on Twitter, the developer has now explained why. During an impromptu question and answer session with Anthem executive producer Mark Darrah yesterday, one Anthem fan expressed their “serious concern” at the lack of NPC squadmates....

Black Lightning is back for its fourth and final season. The CW announced in November 2020 that they would not be renewing the Black-led superhero drama for another season. We still have the 13-episode final season to enjoy, and the potential of a Black Lightning spin-off. In a previous statement, showrunner Salim Akil said of the latter: “While Season Four may be the end of one journey, I’m extremely excited to usher in a new chapter and continued collaboration with The CW as we tell the story of Painkiller....

Treyarch announced this morning that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta for Blackout is being extended for a brief amount of time in order to test a highly-requested change. The already popular battle royale mode will now be open through 12:00 pm PT and will raise the Blackout player count up to one hundred total players. That’s a player increase of 25% or 20 total players (12 players on PS4), bringing Blackout’s total player count on par with competitive battle royale games....
