Avowed Should Learn One Lesson From The Witcher 3

Avowed has drawn the most comparison with Skyrim, with its fantasy flavor and first-person perspective reminding many fans of the last Elder Scrolls game. However, Skyrim should not be the only RPG of the last decade which Obsidian Entertainment looks to when developing Avowed. The Witcher 3 was able to achieve one thing that Skyrim could not when it came to its side-quests. Avowed should look at how CD Projekt Red was able to integrate all of its Witcher 3 missions into a single overarching narrative – or at least, how it created the immersive illusion that the game’s side-quests were just as much a part of the story as its main mission....

Battlestar Galactica What S Going On With The New Movie And Tv Shared Universe

It’s been 13 years since the Galactica reached Earth. We watched in the 2009 finale “Daybreak” as Admiral Adama, President Roslin, Apollo, Starbuck, Gaius Baltar, and Caprica Six walked towards a bright and unwritten future in their new home. It was a cathartic (but predictably divisive) ending to a six-year TV journey that remains one of the best and most influential in science fiction history. There’s no question that Battlestar Galactica paved the way for other serious, gritty political sci-fi dramas like The Expanse and the recently released Foundation adaptation....

Beyond Good And Evil 2 E3 Gameplay Footage

Beyond Good and Evil 2 took the stage early at Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference with an impressive, and likely expensive, cinematic trailer. Although that was exciting, a sneak peek at the game’s pre-alpha footage gives a closer look at what the game will actually look and play like. The pre-alpha gameplay montage for Beyond Good and Evil 2 shows a little bit of everything with clips highlighting travel, combat, exploration, and some awesome flight....

Biggest Game Releases And Events For October 2018

September 2018 was a busy month for games, seeing the release of a number of critically-acclaimed titles including Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age and of course, the PS4-exclusive Spider-Man from Insomniac Games. However, if gamers thought September was a busy month, then they’re going to be completely blown away by October, which stands to be the busiest month for gaming in all of 2018. Considering the sheer amount of content releasing this month, it’s not surprising that some people may have a hard time keeping track of it all....

Black Mirror White Christmas Review

This review contains spoilers. Charlie Brooker’s been hiding something. Beneath that hugely entertaining mantle of misanthropy and idiocy-skewering invective, beats the charitable heart of a man who wants us all to care a little bit more. If there’s a lesson to White Christmas – a trio of Black Mirror stories about the consequences of loneliness and ostracisation – it would be to stop, think, and empathise. Even, or perhaps especially, with our public demons....

Black Sails Season 3 Premiere Review Xix

Black Sails gets off to a bang-up start, heavy on the history. I can’t say how happy I am that Blackbeard looks like he’ll be a major role, not the walk-on that the black-bearded logwood cuter from season one was, and hopefully not the mini-role that Lowe was in season one. History: Teach went by a number of names, and Drummond was one of them. Teach did retire, and did subsequently return to piracy....

Bud Light Enters The Console Wars

In yet another odd moment for the strange year that is 2020, Bud Light has entered the console wars. The BL6 — which Anheuser-Busch directly compares to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S — is a gaming console with an in-built projector that also doubles as a beer koozie. Which there is still much discussion regarding the new consoles a week after their launches, it is clear that the American brewing company is utilizing this time as a marketing opportunity....

Buffy The Vampire Slayer S Scariest Moment

Isn’t it? That depends. There’s another moment that, every rewatch, makes my stomach clench in ways that the Gentlemen never do. Those grinning freaks are scary, but they’re fun-scary. Outside of a fan convention or a Rupert Murdoch lookalike contest, you’d never actually have to face them. Unlike the couple of boneheads who catcall Buffy Summers on a dark street in ‘Helpless’. (If anybody, by the way, is starting to suspect they’ve been conned into reading some broad’s undergrad essay on women, power and taking back the night instead of an upbeat online list, then bingo, you called it....

Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War Scorestreak Update Detailed

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War features a divisive new take on scorestreaks, and while Treyarch is unwilling to budge on the new system, they have acknowledged requests regarding balancing. The first mention of a change sees the iconic RC-XD streak being given a minor buff, allowing the explosive car to destroy sentry gun turrets in one detonation instead of two....
