With every Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season, there’s always been a mid-season update that adds a bunch of new content all at once, in order to keep things fresh. While some mid-season updates arrive later than others, all of them give players new content before the next season hits. Now, it’s season 4’s turn, as Infinity Ward and Activision have announced that the new mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is arriving tomorrow, June 30, 2020, and it’s bringing with it a slew of content....

One of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer skins and its description were changed in an update following controversy over them. The skin belonged to operator Wayne “D-Day” Davis, available to play as in both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. One of the character’s skins was called “Border War,” which was a reference to policy regarding the U.S.-Mexico border. When equipped with the skin, D-Day appeared as a parodied Border Patrol agent, wearing the outfit and armor, as well as a cowboy hat....

Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Warzone has been incredibly popular since launch. On Monday Infinity Ward announced it banned 70,000 players while working on improving in-game security measures and reporting capabilities because of a “zero tolerance” policy for cheaters. One particularly flashy and overpowered exploit that has surfaced around the same time as the banning announcement is players managing to get behind level geometry so they can attack while shielded by one-way walls in different buildings throughout Call of Duty: Warzone....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the latest installment to the Assassin’s Creed franchise and Ubisoft Montreal is bringing back a returning feature with the game. Similar to how Assassin’s Creed 2’s Ezio had a place to call home in Monteriggioni, Valhalla will have the player character Eivor do the same with the viking settlement of Ravensthorpe set in Ancient Britain.
