Blizzard Co-Founder Mike Morhaime has recently announced the launch of a brand new development studio called Dreamhaven, with two other studios already signed onto the central team. This comes more than a year after Morhaime left Activision Blizzard, and this return to game development brings him to a similar leadership position as he held at his previous company. BlizzConline is happening this weekend, with a full schedule of announcements for Diablo, Overwatch, and Hearthstone. There will also be a few “deep dives” into World of Warcraft with a developer Q&A and also some big announcements. Normally, those announcements wouldn’t arrive before Friday at the earliest, but it looks like Blizzard accidentally sent out their BlizzConline press kits a bit early. Leaked copies have started turning up online, and one of those press kits just so happens to have a lot of info about an upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands content drop (courtesy of Wowhead)....

Bloodborne is easily one of the greatest and most challenging games on the PS4. Sony did a brilliant job of making an exclusive deal with FromSoftware to create a game that combined the core tenets of Dark Souls with fast-paced gameplay that made for such an incredible experience that a sequel wouldn’t go amiss. Miyazaki’s creativity was on full display with this brilliant title that is widely beloved by many for a whole host of reasons, including the ones described above....

In Bloodborne, the night is dark, even though the moon hangs low in the paleblood sky. You step out of the Lecture Hall and into the Nightmare. You take your first few tentative steps into this barren wasteland. Ahead, you see the path turns upwards, so you dutifully follow. You see a castle, and a dull orange light somehow infests you, making your blood boil with madness. It shoots out of you, yearning for release from this Eldritch torment....

Borderlands 3’s 1-year anniversary is less than a month away, with small in-game events seemingly paving the way for something bigger. The obvious answer is the official reveal of the Krieg DLC, but Gearbox could be cooking up more than that. Many fans may have noticed that Gearbox has gone unusually quiet as of late. Aside from the small events, there hasn’t been a proper roadmap since the spring. This could be due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but another possibility is that it’s building up for something big....

It’s nothing new to say that cheaters and hackers are responsible for ruining online gaming experiences - second only to obnoxious pre-teens with headsets. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was crippled by a number of game-breaking hacks and cheats that would give less-honorable players a significant leg-up in competitive matches. As a result, it’s no surprise that, at the risk of angry die-hards and negative PR, many game companies now routinely exercise their ban-hammer rights - in addition to updates and patches....

From the beginning, Destiny 2 has been an ever-evolving video game, and it has had more than its fair share of bugs and issues. Even with the current Season of the Chosen, there were still problems popping up, like players experiencing game crashes before starting events. A notable issue that players have noticed in Destiny 2 is the teleporting enemies in activities, not the same way the time-traveling robotic Vex do, but more like one minute enemies are there and the next they’re somewhere else....

To the surprise of no one, game developer Bungie has announced that their ambitious new sci-fi shooter, Destiny, will be released on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, as well as current-generation consoles. There’s been plenty of concept art released already to keep anticipation warm, but E3 will finally allow us to get a better look at some actual gameplay, and hopefully clear up some specific details about the game....

As part of the ongoing litigation between ex-Infinity Ward members Vince West & Frank Zampella and Activision a whole slew of information has begun to make its way into the public, most of which doesn’t directly involve the Call of Duty franchise. While we’ve already brought gamers details regarding Electronic Arts’ deal with West and Zampella’s new studio Respawn Entertainment that would see the development of a “Halo-killer,” another juicy piece of information has made its way onto the net that involves, ironically, former Halo developer Bungie....

Rumors have been swirling about what form Call of Duty 2020 may take, and while fans are still waiting on confirmation, all signs point to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War being this year’s game. A supposed reboot of the Treyarch’s Black Ops sub-series, there’s no solid information on what exactly Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will entail, but some prominent Call of Duty series leakers have revealed some of the maps that will supposedly be coming to the game....

After a massive patch fixed tons of bugs in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, fans found yet another issue. Most Modern Warfare bugs are discovered on accident, which makes it even more frustrating when they occur. One Modern Warfare fan was enjoying the use of their killstreak. Everything is fine until they return to their character, finding a strange problem with the player’s perspective. The bug doesn’t seem to have been reported before, but some fans have said it’s been around for quite a while....

Many users online are reporting issues when trying to play Call of Duty: Warzone and the Modern Warfare multiplayer. It appears as though these technical issues started late last night and have continued into the morning, with at least 3,000 players reporting issues with the games within the last hour. So far, Activision itself has yet to acknowledge the issues people are having with it comes playing Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare online....

The mid-season Call of Duty: Warzone update was another big one, and added some slight changes to many aspects of gameplay. The update nerfed popular weapons such as the MP5 and the Grau, while buffing some snipers and adding the new, powerful Rytec AMR sniper rifle as well. The Zombies event inside Call of Duty: Warzone has been heavily rumored over the past few weeks, and a popular streamer has added fuel to that fire. This is the latest of several rumors about the event. Recently, a plague game mode leaked, with the mode supposedly seeing Zombies take over the entirety of Verdansk....

The Call of Duty League regular season wrapped up over the weekend with the Toronto Home Series. It was arguably the biggest event of the regular season as numerous playoff seedings were on the line. While most of the top teams heading into the 2020 season remained in the top four or five for its entirety, some teams ducked in and out of top contention while others surprised everyone by becoming a legitimate threat once the playoffs roll around....

After over 60 hours, I’m still not bored of beating up Saxons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Most of this time was admittedly spent before writing my review, although I still log in for an hour or so every couple of days to do a bit of exploring. Yesterday I signed in and it hit me like a freight train fresh out of a wormhole: what I like best about Valhalla is ripped straight out of Dragon’s Dogma....
