Publisher Activision and developer Treyarch reveal the official release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s first DLC expansion pack known as Awakening. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Awakening DLC is set for availability on February 2, 2016, and will be coming to PlayStation 4 first, with other platforms to follow at a later, as of yet unspecified date. As previously reported, the content’s initial distribution to the PS4 is due to Sony’s exclusive DLC partnership inked with Activision earlier this year....

While Blackout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has lacked a feel of worthwhile progression due to its uninspiring tier system, Treyarch has proceeded to change that. Having already given players a glimpse of the unlockable, playable characters in Blackout, Treyarch has now made it available to unlock these characters through a series of difficult challenges. Although one of the nine unlockable zombies characters are only available through purchase of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s season pass, the remaining eight do not require any purchases....

While many Call of Duty fans are anxiously awaiting the release of Modern Warfare later this year, there are still plenty of fans that are enjoying last year’s title, Black Ops 4, for the time being. Unfortunately, some of those players have been hit with a nasty bug that has reset some or all of their progress in the game. An executive vice president at Marvel Studios has promised that future films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will not use a digital replica of the late Chadwick Boseman. Victoria Alonso, executive producer on Black Panther, spoke on the subject in a Spanish-language interview with the Argentinean newspaper Clarin. “There’s only one Chadwick and he’s not with us,” Alonso said, in response to a question specifically about the possibility of using a digital double for Boseman....

Like most Call of Duty games, Modern Warfare featured a PS4 exclusivity deal that locked certain features behind the Sony platform for set amounts of time. Perhaps the most controversial part of the exclusivity deal at launch was making the Modern Warfare Survival mode a timed exclusive, but that is finally going to change at the beginning of October. After nearly a year-long exclusivity deal, Infinity Ward Communications Manager Ashton Williams confirmed that Survival will be arriving on both PC and Xbox One October 1st....

The footage highlights intense firefights in multiple WWII themed locals, with flamethrowers and bombing runs to boot. This is the first multiplayer gameplay released for Call Of Duty: WWII, a return to the Call Of Duty franchise’s roots as opposed to the modern and futuristic entries that have defined the series lately. The trailer showcases a variety of different environments, from snowy fields peppered with bunkers and trenches, to bombed out city streets that have to be cleared building by building....

The Call of Duty League (CDL) has announced the schedule for the New 2020 Home Series, replacing the formerly scheduled LAN events. Coronavirus has caused disruptions in just about every aspect of life, sports being no exception. Diablo 4’s development history is quite interesting. After the release of Reaper of Souls and cancellation of King in the North for Diablo 3, development would be shifted to a “Project Hades.” This was, effectively, Diablo 4 until it was canceled and replaced with “Fenris.” Project Fenris was the originally code name for the form of Diablo 4 currently in development. Fenris is clearly a tried-and-true follow-up to Diablo 3. How it lives up to its predecessor remains to be seen, but it fits into the standard formula, even where it has and is likely to deviate....
