The Cap Pikachu event in Pokemon Sword & Shield ends tomorrow, so make sure to claim them before time is up.
Pokemon Sword & Shield has had the most online engagement in the mainline entries of the series so far. The Wild Area features regular events where specific Pokemon will appear and players can band together to catch them. The Pokemon Company has also been distributing Pokemon through Mystery Gift codes. This will be how Zarude is distributed to fans next month, which is a necessity due to lockdown. The original intention was to give codes out in stores, but it’s not safe to do that at the moment, so there are various ways to receive a Zarude online, depending on the region.
The Pokemon Company has been running a campaign to celebrate the release of The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword & Shield. It’s possible to claim eight different Pikachu, which are wearing different caps worn by Ash in the Pokemon anime. The Cap Pikachu promotion ends tomorrow, so you have one more day to claim them for free.
To claim the Pikachu, you need to go to the Mystery Gift menu, select “Get a Mystery Gift”, select “Get with Code/Password”, input the code, and claim the Pikachu. You need to be connected to the Internet to claim the Pikachu. Here are the codes for all of the available Cap Pikachu.
- Original Cap - P1KACHUGET Partner Cap - 1CH00SEY0U Hoenn Cap - P1KAADVANCE Sinnoh Cap - V0LTTACKLEP1KA Unova Cap - P1KABESTW1SH Alola Cap - ULTRAP1KA Kalos Cap - KAL0SP1KA World Cap - K1NP1KA1855
The only way to claim these Pokemon after the event is to trade one from another trainer or hope that The Pokemon Company distributes them again in the future. This shouldn’t be too difficult, considering that many people will have claimed them for free. If you have any interest in grabbing a Pikachu wearing Ash’s hat, then hurry up and do it now, as the promotion will end soon.
The codes for the special Cap Pikachu in Pokemon Sword & Shield will remain valid until November 30, 2020.
