Ooblets is a part creature-collecting, part town-life, part farming-simulator indie game that has players managing their farms and befriending townsfolk in a dance-off frenzy. Players can grow the quirky titular creatures for a variety of reasons, but some farmers are quickly finding themselves with no more room for ooblets, which begs the question: can you get rid of ooblets?

It’s not immediately apparent how to do so. Building up the farm to store more ooblets is both expensive and time-consuming. But ooblets not helping out on the farm or part of a dance party are just taking up space. So how do gamers get rid of the excess adorable creatures in Ooblets?

Dumping Ooblets In The Wildlands

While some games play heavily into the sci-fi trope of simulated life and have gamers downloading and uploading their pals, Ooblets has a much more natural approach. Take any ooblets that aren’t needed, set them to follow the main character, and head to the Wildlands.

At the gate, there will be a bulletin board. Interact with it and click the button that says, “Add An Ooblet.” From here, simply select the ooblet that is ready to be dropped off.

The best part about the Wildlands is that the ooblets can be retrieved from this spot when they become necessary again or if gamers simply want to shake things up. There is no new dance-off required, just approach them in their new home, hit “Retrieve” and have them follow the party.

Ooblets is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
