Three-time Call of Duty world champion James “Clayster” Eubanks, 28, has officially signed with the New York Subliners. The player had been released from the Dallas Empire a day after the new four-vs-four format was announced for the 2021 Call of Duty League season, only two days after the team won a world championship.

The New York Subliners recently released Donovan “Temp” Laroda, Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi, and Dillon “Attach” Price from their main roster, while rookie Makenzie “Mack” Kelley and veteran Thomas “ZooMaa” Paparatto have remained. ZooMaa has been a key figure on the Subliners roster since Launch Weekend and Mack joined the team mid-season, helping win the team’s home series event in July.

Clayster will occupy the main Assault Rifle (AR) position alongside two Submachine Gun players. Attach and Accuracy have recently signed to Minnesota ROKKR along with FaZe members Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak and Preston “Priestahh” Greiner.

The Subliners are now searching for a fourth player to round out their roster. Insiders have suggested that the team might be considering Johnathon “John” Perez or Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez since both players are hoping to return to the main stage in a starting position for the 2021 Black Ops Cold War Season.

Clayster has been playing Call of Duty competitively since 2007, winning back-to-back 2019 and 2020 championships with eUnited and Dallas Empire, respectively. Known for his in-game leadership, the player has stated that he would like to continue helping younger members and teams hone their skills.

Aside from his three world championship wins, Clayster is also a World Championship MVP and XGames Gold Medalist. As of August 2020, he has won $1,088,771.68, which includes $144,000 in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare prize money. He also runs a YouTube channel, which currently nears the 300,000 subscriber mark.

Although the New York Subliners struggled earlier in the year, they managed to finish fifth overall in the regular season, defeated by the London Royal Ravens in the third round of the losers’ bracket at the 2020 Call of Duty League Championship.
