One of the most controversial aspects of Call of Duty: Warzone since launch has been its vehicles. Many fans have complained that Call of Duty: Warzone vehicles are overpowered in their current state, but now it seems that they may be even deadlier than before. A new buff given to the trophy system tool in Call of Duty: Warzone is making it more difficult for players to destroy any vehicles that are trying to run them down.
Trophy systems in Call of Duty: Warzone take out explosives, and they can be a lifesaver for players. Since downloading the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 update, players are able to attach trophy systems to vehicles. Essentially, this means that vehicles will be virtually impervious to many explosives in the game while the trophy system is active. Many players have started carrying around rocket launchers just in case they have to deal with vehicles, but now even those aren’t as foolproof of a counter as they were before.
Since fans have complained about Call of Duty: Warzone vehicles being OP, it’s a bit surprising that Infinity Ward has made them even more difficult to destroy. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how the community responds to this trophy system buff, and how it impacts vehicles in the game.
Considering the sheer size of the Call of Duty: Warzone map, vehicles are almost certainly here to stay in a permanent capacity, so fans shouldn’t expect Infinity Ward to ever remove them outright. However, it’s definitely within the realm of possibility that the developers will make some more tweaks to the game in an effort to make vehicles better-balanced than they are at the time of this writing.
In future, it will be interesting to see if Infinity Ward adds even more vehicles to Call of Duty: Warzone. It may just be content with giving Warzone players new vehicle skins that they can use to customize their rides instead.
In the meantime, Warzone vehicles remain a serious force to be reckoned with, and fans of the game will definitely want to keep them in mind when developing their strategies.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
