If you were wondering why you couldn’t find a chopper in a recent Warzone match, you might’ve been the victim of Operation Bird’s Nest.
Choppers are a bit of a mixed bag in Warzone. While they offer supreme mobility and even make for some amazing mid-air shootouts, they can also be a bit of a liability. Some people think that the game would be better off without them, and those people are all friends of Reddit user Bosombuddies.
For whatever reason, Bosombuddies and company decided to begin playing a game within a game. They call it “Operation Bird’s Nest,” and the objective is simple: gather up all the choppers in Verdansk and land them on the top of the stadium.
Why? What’s their end goal? Is it just to show how Warzone could be vastly improved if choppers were removed on a more permanent basis? Is it to showcase the massive vulnerabilities of airborne transport in a game where everyone has an RPG or surface-to-air missiles? Or is it just for the lawls?
Nobody knows. What we do know is that Bosombuddies is not alone. At least one other Reddit called this game “playing helicopters,” which is a far less interesting title and should definitely be changed to “Operation Bird’s Nest 2: The Birdening.”
