A bizarre glitch turned a custom SMG into a dog in Call of Duty: Warzone. Which is totally normal.
No, this isn’t a new killstreak where your assault rifle transforms into an attack dog like some sort of cyberpunk security system. It’s a glitch, but at least it’s an entertaining one.
Reddit user u/cmwhph32u1 stumbled across this weird bug during a game of Warzone. While looting a corpse, they came across what was labeled a “custom SMG,” but the model was clearly that of a German Shepherd. Although guns and dogs are both considered to be man’s best friend, it’s still fairly hard to confuse the two.
Strangely enough, picking up the dog turns it into an MP7 with Piercer ammo. Dropping it turns it back into a dog. Why? Maybe it’s a magic submachine gun. Just don’t ask how you reload it.
In case you were wondering, the dog model actually does exist in-game and doesn’t just appear out of nowhere. It’s for the Top Dog finisher, where a dog comes out to help you murder an inattentive opponent.
The dog is not a gun, though, so maybe this is a planned future upgrade?
