Warzone players on Reddit are calling for vehicles to be nerfed by keeping the POV as first-person rather than switching to third-person when using one, citing the vehicle operator’s expanded range of vision as an unbalanced advantage.

Call of Duty: Warzone is off to a great start, aided by the fact so many people are stuck at home in desperate need of something to do. As with any new game, some issues have yet to be ironed out. One thing sticking in the craw of many Warzone players is the game’s overpowered vehicles.

One moderately high-damage hit with a vehicle and it’s game over, but that’s not the biggest issue. The bigger problem is that when a player commandeers one of Warzone’s vehicles, the POV switches from first-person to third-person. That results in its driver or pilot being able to see a lot more of the environment around them.

Warzone players have taken to Reddit to petition Activison to change the game so that POV switch doesn’t happen. Making this change would effectively nerf Warzone’s vehicles without Activision having to do much work at all. The Reddit post even suggests that helicopter pilots can keep the third-person POV. However, some commenters are keen to see that changed as well should the game’s developers put this request into practice.
