Camping has been part of the Call of Duty world for generations, and Call of Duty: Warzone is no exception. The idea is that if a player simply stays put in one place, there is less of a chance of them being killed. In a massive map like Wall of Duty Warzone’s Verdansk, there are tons of places for players to simply hide from trouble.

Usually, when a player is camping, they will watch a stairwell or ladder waiting for an unsuspecting victim to wander on by. It is in these moments that they can score a few kills without becoming vulnerable or giving up their position. In Call of Duty: Warzone, the prison’s towers often become a popular place for enemy players to hide and wait out the game.

While this is usually met with mixed results, Reddit user SwagPanther69 had their own unique solution to dealing with a camping player. In this particular situation, the camper decided to take out a Warzone “Most Wanted” contract. As this is a duos game, they are most likely waiting out the timer hoping that their teammate will respawn. While this may have worked, SwagPanther wandered upon the spot and noticed a unique opportunity. As they walk up the stairwell they turn to look up at the nearby ladder.

There is no doubt that the camping player is waiting at the ladder for players, so ascending would be a death sentence. Thankfully, SwagPanther noticed the circling helicopter blades that rotate past every few seconds.

Helicopters are extremely vulnerable to explosives and although the Call of Duty: Warzone C4 charge had been nerfed, grenades are still as strong as ever. Pulling out a lethal frag grenade, SwagPanther cooks it for a few seconds before tossing it up at the helicopter’s rotating blades. The grenade impacts the blade and immediately detonates, destroying the helicopter and causing a bigger explosion that kills the camping player.

While the Modern Warfare C4 charge may not travel as far as it used to, this is a great reminder that the other explosives are still at their normal strength. Sticky grenades, frag grenades, and even Warzone Molotovs are extremely useful in taking down camping players. Of course, it is also helpful to have a convenient helicopter nearby to add to the initial explosion.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
