Call of Duty: Warzone’s gas masks can often be the difference between life and death in a match, especially towards the end. As things get down to the wire, the last remaining players are often spending just as much time fighting against the gas as they are each other. Call of Duty’s new gas mask is sure to help with that.

In the past, there was only one type of gas mask in Call of Duty: Warzone. While useful, this gas mask only allowed players to survive the gas for a total of 15 seconds. Recently, a new type of gas mask was introduced which, though rarer, lasts much longer.

The Durable Gas Mask is not as easy to find as a standard one, but players will be rewarded for attaining one. Rather than lasting only 15 seconds, the Durable Gas Mask lasts twice as long, about 30 seconds in the gas.

In order to find one, players will need to enter Warzone’s stadium, which was recently opened up as part of an update. Within the stadium there are several secret areas, and only inside of these areas will players be able to obtain a Durable Gas Mask. Even then, it is an extremely rare item, so players may be unfortunate enough to search an entire secret area only to come up empty handed. Of course, the other items found in a secret area ought to help the player quite a bit as well.

Entering one of these secret areas requires players to find one of Call of Duty: Warzone’s stadium key cards. These are elusive, as they can only be found in the stadium and tend to be well hidden. Players will need to find one and head to the corresponding locked door within the stadium. Once inside, searching for loot and other secrets may yield a durable gas mask. Although this item certainly won’t help the player win a gunfight against a more skilled opponent, it can give them an advantage when outrunning the gas at the end of a match.

Players can know that they’ve spotted the rare gas mask variant by its golden coloring on the HUD, but beware that typically only one will spawn at a time, making it difficult to get the most out of in a team. Players probably shouldn’t go out of their way looking for a Durable Gas Mask, but if they find one while searching the stadium in Warzone it is sure to come in handy.
