Each Monday, Activision releases a report about what Call of Duty fans can expect in the week ahead for both Modern Warfare and Warzone. This often includes a sneak peek at new cosmetic items that Call of Duty players will be able to purchase from the shop, and as it turns out, this week will include a new anime-themed bundle that comes with a very eye-catching “Senpai” skin for the Cargo Truck vehicle.
The new Anime Express bundle for Call of Duty: Warzone will be available with the May 5 update. While the Cargo Truck Senpai skin is certainly the headlining item for the Anime Express bundle, it will also include two Legendary weapon blueprints “for close-range devastation” that players will get as well. Specifics on the weapon blueprints are unavailable at the time of this writing, but fans can check out the Warzone in-game store on May 5 to find out more.
In the meantime, the May 5 update will bring other new cosmetics to Call of Duty, and it will add a different playlist for Warzone. Trios Plunder Blood Money will be returning to Call of Duty: Warzone with the May 5 update, which proved to be quite a popular mode the last time it was in the game.
While Call of Duty: Warzone is getting some attention on May 5, it seems most of the content in the May 5 update is focused on Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare will be getting three new game modes with the May 5 update, including Demolition, Gun Game Reloaded, and Gunfight Knives Only. Presumably, the Anime Express bundle Legendary blueprints will also be usable in Modern Warfare, so MW fans have that to look forward to as well.
When it comes to cosmetics in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward hasn’t been shy about adding some rather bizarre stuff to the game. Most recently, this has included a Tiger King-themed bundle, adding cosmetics clearly inspired by the hit Netflix docu-series.
Moving forward, fans can expect all kinds of cosmetics to continue being added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. Infinity Ward has indicated that Warzone will remain a constant, even as new Call of Duty games are released, and so fans shouldn’t expect support for the popular battle royale to end any time soon.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
