There are gamers who will play a clean game, work hard on trophy retrieval and aim for full completion. There are also Call of Duty players who just want to watch the world burn. Reddit user Gorrick1 is one of those players who posted a montage video of his killer escapades as he annihilates every other player in sight.
Gorrick1 posted the minute long video on the Modern Warfare subreddit titled ‘Modern Warfare: The art of toxicity’ that compiled the player’s kill count using a “toxic” loadout. The montage begins with the player’s arsenal selection including the model 680 shotgun and the dual .357 revolvers with Snake Shot Shotgun attachments. The weapons of choice were nicknamed “Piece of shi” and “Cancer” before the player engaged in a total wipeout of all other CoD players in existence.
The compilation by Gorrick1 has to be one of the funniest as the kills play along with Offenbach’s Infernal Galop. The kills keep in time with the music and the .357s and Model 680 mimic the sounds made in the classical piece all adding to the video’s hilarious tone. Gorrick1 also uses C4 and AC130 as the music reaches crescendo that all adds to this thrilling watch. There are so many clips packed into this short but effective video that it’s hard to tell which map the player has ventured into. All viewers can do is sit back and watch the carnage.
Gorrick1’s gaming style is branded as toxic because of the player’s use of two shotguns pairing the .357 Snake Shot with the model 680 before sprinting around like a madman and effectively obliterating everyone and everything. If you were one of those players at the receiving end of Gorrick1, a rage quit may have been somewhere on the horizon. However, CoD players still enjoy seeing these creative clips of gamers who want to have a bit of fun along the way.
The video had only been posted for 24 hours before Redditors upvoted it almost 44,000 times and commemorated it with several Reddit awards. The community praised the users editing and music choice that was clearly a case of some frustration venting, however most sympathized with the many players who were gunned down. Gorrick1 certainly showed dedication by having the patience to edit an endless amount of clips for the amusement of others and most likely for personal satisfaction too. Whatever Gorrick1’s intentions were, it won us over.
