Not every Call of Duty entry is created equal, and this is especially applicable where gore is concerned. However, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare does allow players to dismember opponents with special rounds, leading to a gory mess.

In specific, there are special weapons that players can use against each other that will lead to dismemberment. This is true for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s standard multiplayer modes and the Warzone multiplayer mode. However, the weapons needed to dismember foes do come at a cost since they come in packs and bundles that have come out.

The weapons that cause dismemberment, as well as what packs or bundles they come in, are explained below.

The Black Bear and the Elk Rut of the Talon Operator pack both cause dismemberment.

Similarly, the Mace Operator bundle’s Bludgeoner and Skullhammer both can lead to dismemberment.

The Iskra Operator bundle’s Heresy and Insurgency weapons both inflict dismemberment. Finally, the Brutalizer pack’s Torn and Asunder both result in dismemberment.

The weapons that can inflict dismemberment will feature a font in the description that is red.

Upon using these weapons, players will experience quite a gory mess. Some may find it over-the-top or grotesque but others may be more appreciative of the added “grittiness” through the dismemberment feature.

Whether players are in disapproval of this feature or not, there’s no denying that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are both dominating games on the forefront right now. Having brought a battle royale mode to the traditional Call of Duty multiplayer, the Call of Duty series is now at the top of its game. The title does have a deep and entertaining campaign, though its highlight clearly resides in the wildly popular multiplayer.

And Call of Duty’s multiplayer still continues to produce funny and impressive moments with a playerbase that finds creative ways to eliminate opponents. For instance, one player managed to eliminate an entire squad of players in Call of Duty: Warzone using only a crossbow. While no dismemberment was involved, moments like these are highly impressive and illustrate the eclectic methods of some players.
