Every Tuesday brings with it a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, usually preceded by a full rundown of what fans can expect from Activision. Activision has now pulled the curtain back on what fans can expect from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare May 12 update, which includes a new playlist and more.
Once the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare May 12 update goes live, fans of the game can jump into the Shoot the Rusty Ship 24/7 playlist. Featuring a variety of game modes, Shoot the Rusty Ship combines three of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s most popular maps into one package. While the playlist is live, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can play on Rust, Shipment, and Shoot House to their hearts’ content.
The other game modes highlighted in Activision’s latest “This Week in Call of Duty” post are technically already in the game. The post highlights 3v3 Gunfight Knives Only, which was added in an update a few days ago after it was initially delayed. Furthermore, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans can continue playing the Demolition game mode as well.
Arguably the most substantial new content coming in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare May 12 update has nothing to do with new modes or playlists. Beginning May 12, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can purchase the new multiplayer operator Iskra from the store. The Iskra bundle will include a special skin for helicopters in Warzone, plus a brand new Finishing Move for fans to use as well.
The Iskra bundle isn’t the only thing that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans will have find the store come the May 12 update. Activision will also be selling the Twin Suns bundle, which gives players a variety of new cosmetics to add to their growing collections.
There’s plenty coming in the May 12 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans to get excited about, but there’s also a major exclusion. It was speculated that the Modern Warfare 3 map Hardhat would be coming to Modern Warfare in the May 12 update, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. However, the map is still expected to come to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at some point during Season 3, so fans should expect to see it within the next month or so.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
