Get ready to spend those rupies as a new character DLC pack for Cadence of Hyrule is incoming today on the eShop. A physical edition, more story content, and 39 new tracks are on their way too. You can buy the season pass for $14.99, which will be available today. Each pack separately will be $5.99.

The character pack will include a bunch of different fan-favorite characters, including: Impa, Shadow Link, and Shadow Zelda. Frederick and Aria from the Crypt of the Necrodancer are also available in the game. These characters will have unique abilities too; Impa can teleport behind enemies and Frederick after dying can be brought back as a ghost.

Second is the music pack. When it releases, there will be 39 new tracks from the likes of FamilyJules, A_Rival, and Chipzel. Unfortunately, Nintendo wasn’t specific as to what songs will be included, but they will be remixes of the classic songs from the series we know and love.

Third, is the new story pack called Symphony of the Mask, starring the mischievous Skull Kid from Majora’s Mask. Nintendo says on its store page that it will include a new map and songs. He also has the power to change his abilities based on the mask he wears.

The music and story packs will be ready to download by the end of October, and if you haven’t played the game yet, there will be a physical version that will include all the DLC on October 23rd.  If you get the Season Pass, you’ll get a free bonus: the red and blue variations of Link and Zelda. Once purchased, these skins will be available to you.

Brace Yourself Games and Nintendo released this collaborative title back in June 2019. It was a big surprise because Cadence of Hyrule was the first time the Big N worked with an indie studio with one of their biggest franchises. Imran Khan, who was at Game Informer at the time, apparently found out that Shigeru Miyamoto and Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma got addicted to Crypt of the Necrodancer (via Nintendo Everything). Their love of the game supposedly made Cadence of Hyrule happen.
