Gaming collectible studio iam8bit is teaming up with a bar arcade to give relief to employees impacted by Coronavirus-mandated closures.
Iam8bit has created a series of bundles meant to shore up the flagging profits of Button Mash, a Los Angeles bar arcade. The bar arcade is still providing delivery service with a small skeleton crew but like many small local businesses is struggling to stay open. Unfortunately, many long time staff members were not retained due to the lack of business caused by the shelter in place ordinances in Los Angeles.
Button Mash first opened doors in 2015 in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The bar has a reputation for being a welcoming environment for all kinds of gamers with over fifty games and pinball cabinets. Button Mash also features an award-winning selection of food and drinks. The bar has been a well known and beloved meetup spot for gamers in the greater Los Angeles area almost since its launch five years ago.
Iam8bit is an LA-based gaming collectible maker best known for producing special editions for Indie games. Recent releases from the studio include a Limited Edition Physical Version of Kentucky Route Zero on Nintendo Switch and A vinyl version of the soundtrack for Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
