The world of Bugsnax is strange and, at times, incredibly comical. The game is overrun by unusual creatures that are a cross between bugs and some of the best-looking snack food players can imagine.
Everything, from french fries to donuts, has been turned into some sort of strange-looking creature that the inhabitants of the island want to eat. This, of course, means that there are some extremely peculiar snak species walking around the island. While the idea of walking strawberries may seem odd to gamers, there are even more Bugsnax in the game that will leave the gaming world confused for years to come.
10 Red Banopper
There is the regular banopper, but let’s be honest, the red coloring just makes the creature so much weirder. Banoppers are snaks that like to jump from tree to tree at incredibly fast speeds. In fact, players can’t even catch the elusive creatures until they are about half-way through the game.
As an added bonus, this creature is attracted to both chocolate and peanut butter, both choice flavorings for bananas.
9 BBQ Bunger
When players first start the game, they will be introduced to the now famous Bunger. Little do most of them know that Bunger has an aggressive cousin named BBQ Bunger. The BBQ Bunger likes to tackle anything that it loves, including the player, sending them flying a short distance.
It can only be found in one location in the game, and it just happens to be on top of a cliff where it can toss players off.
8 Pinkle
The Pinkle is a bugsnak that honestly raises a ton of questions about the game. The strangest thing about it, though, is that its shell seems to also be edible, as players never find them laying around after feeding one to a Grumpus; it’s also a bit strange that they seem to be used to make drinks.
The Pinkle can be found freely running around in the wild, and the only way to capture it is by using the grappler.
7 Poptick
This bugsnak is as ingenious as it is strange. When a player first finds the Poptick, it will be extremely tiny. If they look closely, though, they will soon realize that the small creature resembles a popcorn kernel. By getting a Scorpeyno to shoot fire at them, the Poptick will transform into popcorn.
Some gamers might wonder how exactly the Grumpsus first figured out the trick to popping them, but certain questions are best left unanswered.
6 Crispy Snakpod
Another strange creature is the Crispy Snakpod. In all honesty, every variety of Snakpod in the game is just as weird. This one likes to hang around on the side of walls where it’s hard to locate. The whole snak resembles a bag of chips much more than it does any type of bug.
Even the soda-inspired bugsnax look more like bugs than any of the Snakpods do. And, why are some of them crunchy anyway?
5 Noodler
The Noodler is an extreme bugsnak that loves to spend it’s time literally swimming around in lava. While most gamers have likely got burned by some hot ramen before, the creatures living in active lava pools are a bit extreme, even by this game’s comedic standards.
In order to even attempt to capture a noodler, the player must lure it out of the lava by feeding it hot sauce so that it can be cooled down.
4 Sandopede
The Sandopede is a reckless bugsnak that makes its way through the world by literally running full speed ahead. Even stranger, it is made up using tons of other Sandopedes that are all playing follow the leader. The Sandopede will literally crash through obstacles without a second thought for its safety.
The only way to stop this snak is to trip it up and then quickly scoop up the different pieces.
3 Flapjackarak
The Flajackarak may be the most aggressive bugsnak in the game. This snak wanders around the desert, where it attacks anything that crosses its path with a tornado. That’s right; this breakfast dish is able to summon a tornado out of its head and fling around other snaks.
The snak is rather easy to capture, though, as all the player needs to do is set-up the trip shot for it to run into.
2 Buffalocust
The Buffalocust is one of the strangest creatures in the game. The snak flies through the sky of the desert while engulfed in flame. When you throw down a sauce it likes, the Buffalocust takes it upon itself to slam directly into the ground, which will, of course, stun it for a few seconds.
To put out the flames while it is on the ground, players will need to lure a Flapjackarak into it.
1 Scoopy Banoopy
The Scoop Banoopy is one of the last bugsnax the player will come across in the game, and it is also one of the strangest. The snak is made up of all the ingredients it takes to make a delicious sundae. Sadly, the creature is pretty aggressive and will attack anything that crosses its path.
By using a combination of the fires around the mountain and trip shot, you can easily capture this feisty snak.
