6 I Am Spiderman

There are a lot of conspiracy theories floating around about Bugsnax now that most players have finished the game. Some slick gamers have noticed something incredible, though, there are a lot of parallels to the new Spiderman game that debuted on the PS5 as a launch title along Bugsnax.

Is it possible that the protagonist is actually Spiderman in disguise? Is Peter Parker really the one running around trying to solve the mystery of the island? The world will never truly know.

5 Gaming Realism

Anyone looking for a realistic experience should probably focus more on some of the FPS titles available on the PS5. Bugsnax, while it doesn’t look bad at all, is so far removed from reality that it’s a bit surprising how many gaming fans have taken to the title.

Gamers are generally concerned with seeing the power of next-gen graphics on a new console, but this time around they seem to be fine settling for tasty bugs.

4 Truly Horrifying

While the game is disturbing, most people can still sleep soundly after finished in the title. It’s not until they are laying in bed surrounded by darkness that they truly realize the terror that is Bugsnax. The small creatures embody everything around the Grumpsus and slowly try to take them over during the story.

Who is to say that the fluffy bed you go to sleep in every night isn’t secretly just a parasite trying to gnaw away on your body?

3 I Don’t See a Problem Here

Before the game even came out, the fanbase was clamoring about what exactly the creatures were. They wanted to know if Bugsnax were more bug or more food. After tons of contemplation, posts, and memes, they finally came to the realization that snaks and bugs are essentially the same.

Snaks and bugs are one and the same in the world of Bugsnax, and there is no true way to tell one apart from the other.

2 Sony Knows…

This is truly a horrifying meme as it shows that Sony knew all along the true identity of the bugsnaks. While they didn’t seem to be implying anything malicious at the creatures when this was posted, the ellipses tell players of the game that Sony knew the ultimate fate of those who consumed bugsnaks.

This meme is given a whole new meaning when considering the ending of the game. The island was and always has been nothing but Bugsnax. When you find that out and return, what seems to be a shady organization even talks about how they do not need to kill you for learning the truth.

The realization that everything around the Grumpsus was a hungry parasite is more horrifying than players could have ever guessed.
