This wild crossbow shot hit a moving target from several buildings away in Call of Duty: Warzone.
Crossbows are great for making some pretty killer shots. They’re mostly silent, so you can hide in the rafters and pick off opponents one by one. They’re also long-range, so you can use the crossbow as a sort of budget sniper–so long as you know how to lead your target. That’s the challenge with the crossbow as those bolts aren’t exactly traveling at the speed of sound.
Reddit user Mister_Christer made an easy kill with the crossbow and that might be enough to convince a few players to give this difficult weapon a try.
After just getting back from the Gulag, Mister_Christer takes out an inattentive opponent with his pistol and then loots the corpse. There’s an M4, what appears to be an FN P90, and a crossbow. Mister_Christer immediately grabs the crossbow and then spots another returning player descending on their parachute to a nearby building.
This building has outdoor steps that you can see from the outside, so it’s a bit of a vulnerable spot. It also makes you take a predictable path, which Mister_Christer uses to his advantage. He watches the other guy take the first two flights before lining up his shot on the third flight. One crossbow bolt later and he’s got a kill on the scoreboard.
While Mister_Christer certainly made an impressive shot, it’s not the MOST impressive crossbow shot we’ve seen. Twitch streamer nianfoCrossbow managed to make a ludicrously far shot against a target a mile away. You can check out a video of that shot here.
But perhaps the best crossbow shot we’ve seen is from Reddit user Nar1y. They managed to hit a moving target when they took down a chopper with a full squad using a single crossbow bolt. The shot was so far and against such a fast-moving target that the amount Nar1y needed to lead was just stupid.
They’re all great shots though. Pick your favorite and try to imitate it.
