Actor Giancarlo Esposito, known best for the role of Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, maybe the villain for the as of yet unannounced Far Cry 6.

In an interview with Collider, Esposito said, “This video game I did, which is going to be huge… [but I] can’t mention [it].” While Esposito did not confirm which game he was referring too, it’s widely suspected to be Far Cry 6.

If these rumors prove true, then Esposito would be the second Breaking Bad alum to take a villainous turn in Far Cry. Micahel Mando, who played Nacho Varga on Better Call Saul, portrayed the most acclaimed Far Cry villain to date, the infamous Vas in Far Cry 3.

As mentioned, Far Cry 6 doesn’t officially exist yet, though it is expected to be revealed during the Ubisoft Forward stream on July 12. If it is shown there, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Esposito as the face of Far Cry 6.

In addition to the wanton destruction and signature madness that Far Cry games are known for, they are equally beloved for their maniacal villains. Who better to portray the next one then the actor who brought to life one of the best TV villains of all time?

But let’s play devil’s advocate here. If the game Esposito was referring too isn’t a Far Cry 6, what could it be? He did recently join the Star Wars Universe as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian. Perhaps he will appear in EA’s Star Wars Squadron or another unannounced Star Wars game.

Another option is Microsoft’s Xbox 20/20 event coming up later this month, maybe Esposito will appear in an Xbox exclusive. The brand has been falling behind in terms of first-party exclusives for a while now, maybe an actor like Esposito is just what they need to excite their fanbase?

Regardless of who he is portraying, or what game he ends up being in, Esposito is a terrific actor that is sure to bring to life an outstanding performance. Fans around the globe are surely in for a phenomenal treat whenever the Chicken Man comes home to roost.
