Borderlands is all about collecting millions of absurdly powerful weapons and combining them with unique characters to destroy your opponents in unique ways. Before you can do that, you will need to collect a few guns yourself.
There are plenty of ways you can find weapons in Borderlands 3, from killing enemies to looting garbage bins. If you want to break up the constant shooting, you can look for Typhon Logs. These logs will help locate Dead Drops for you, which reward a large chunk of experience points and, of course, loot. Here is the location of every Typhon Log on Pandora. Before we find any logs, we need to know what Typhon Logs are.
8 What Are Typhon Logs?
Typhon Logs are audio logs created by Typhon DeLeon. Typhon DeLeon was the very first Vault Hunter, providing tips and commentary in his logs.
Each location in Borderlands 3 contains 3 of these logs. Finding all three of Typhon’s Logs in an area will reveal a Typhon Dead Drop you can access, providing new weapons, equipment, experience points, and even cosmetic items for your room in Sanctuary.
7 The Droughts
The first Typhon Logs can be found in The Droughts area on Pandora. Head towards the Sun Smasher camp for the first Log in this area.
Before you head into the camp itself after crossing the bridge, head towards the hill on your left. At the end of the path, the first log will reveal itself. For the second log, head to the Dahl Orbital Control area on the southern end of the map. Look for the Typhon Log sitting beside a small bandit camp. The final log in The Droughts is at the top right of the map, near the skag dens beside Tannis’ digsite. Head to the top left of the map to start the Under Taker mission to receive the Typhon Dead Drop.
6 Ascension Bluff
Holy Broadcast Centre holds the first log in Ascension Bluff. When you arrive at the nearby Catch-A-Ride, follow the left junction from the road until you make your way up a hill. The log will be at the end of the path.
The second log is close to the first one, sitting along the road that leads to the Holy Broadcast Centre. Follow the right edge of the road and you’ll see it on a metal platform overlooking Pandora. South of the Ascension Bluffs lies the last log. Head south of the area’s entrance from The Droughts and look for a rounded area. It will be overlooking the southern section of Pandora. A Catch-A-Ride station mid-way through the map contains the newly uncovered Dead Drop.
5 Devil’s Razor
Head to the northeastern corner of Devil’s Razor to find the first log. When you find a bandit camp with turrets guarding it, kill the bandits and climb up the encampment to find the first Typhon Log.
Dead center in Devi’s Razor contains the second log. Climb up a nearby hill until your reach level ground. Behind a nearby building will reveal a Typhon Log. The final Typhon Log can be found in the southern part of the zone, right above the entrance to The Droughts. Look for the nearby Catch-A-Ride station and take a left until you reach the end of a cliff. Once you have all three logs, head south-east of Roland’s Rest until you are just under the massive rock that shadows the landscape. It will be in a monster hole nearby.
4 The Splinterlands
When you enter The Splinterlands for the first time, you will drive by a couple of rocks that overlook the region. On top of those rocks lies the first Typhon Log.
The southern quadrant of The Splinterlands contains a bandit camp that you need to clear out. Head to the back of this encampment past a house and you’ll find the second part. Typhon left his third log in the eastern part of The Splinterlands. You will need to either complete The Homestead quest to gain entry to this area, or you can Skyrim jump your way along the nearby rocks to make your way inside. Either way, it is on a nearby ledge before you enter the hold proper. As for the Dead Drop, it is in a container home near the center of the region.
3 Carnivora
You will have to progress in Carnivora somewhat before you can find the zone’s Typhon Logs. The second part of the region contains the first log, overlooking the northern part of the map beside the Let’s Get It Vaughn quest giver.
Take the nearby elevator down for the second log. There will be a ladder to your left that leads into a building. The walkway from that building will reveal the second log resting near some lockers and ammo chests. When you head to the dessert section of Carnivora, make your way to the northeastern edge of the area. A nearby cave will hide the final Typhon Log. The entrance to Carnivora’s desert will now contain the newly unlocked Dead Drop.
2 Konrad’s Hold
There are only 6 Typhon Logs left on Pandora. Konrad’s Hold holds three of the remaining six. The first one can be found near the Dahl mining operation in the northern part of the region.
Go past the nearby buildings and head to the cliffside. A beautiful view is accompanied by this log. Descend into the mines in the region for the second log. In the mines, jump up four nearby barrels and grab onto the nearby platform. The top of the area will have the second Typhon Log. The final Typhon Log is at the entrance of the mine. Jump into a hole that descends further in the mine. The end of the hole will have the log. A chamber of Varkids past the third log houses the Dead Drop.
1 The Cathedral Of The Twin Gods
The last three Typhon Logs on Pandora can be found at the Cathedral of the Twin Gods. You likely have the first one already.
If you don’t, make your way to the Cathedral proper until you pass the second Catch-A-Ride. Climb up the nearby hill and you’ll have it. When you make your way to the entrance of the Cathedral, head to the ledge on the left of the doors and continue on that path. The northmost part of the map will show the log. As for the final log, look for a ledge covered in yellow paint near the entrance and climb on it. Follow the path until you reach the end. The log will be waiting for you. After you have collected all of the logs, the final Dead Drop on Pandora will be waiting for you at the opposite end of the second Catch-A-Ride of the region.
