BOOM! Studios, best known for publishing the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers licensed comics, announced their planned offerings and events for San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) next week. The Studio will have a selection of convention exclusive comics featuring variant covers and special edition prints and, of course, limited edition enamel pins. BOOM! will also be organizing two panels at SDCC, one showcasing their indie comics and another discussing LGBTQ issues in entertainment.
BOOM!’s convention plans were revealed yesterday, July 10, via a company press release picked up by NewsARama.

The BOOM! Studio’s booth will also host some non-comics celebrity signings in addition to their roster of writers and artists. Current WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston will make an appearance as well as actors and writers of cult classic TV show Farscape: Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Gigi Edgley, Rockney S. O’Bannon, and Brian Henson.
Lastly, BOOM! Studios will host two panels at SDCC. The first will be titled Entertainment Is LGBTQ and builds on their reputation for supporting LGBTQ comics creators, particularly with the critically acclaimed Lumberjanes. The Second will be a showcase of several of BOOM!’s more recent Indie titles and is called BBOOM! Studios: Discover Yours.
