Those with itchy trigger fingers will be happy to know that bloody retro FPS Hellbound will be unleashing its fury upon Steam on August 4, 2020. After the exciting demo released last November and its recent spotlight during the Steam Summer Game Fest, developer Saibot Studios is ready to bring its creation to life. Some new gameplay footage shows off devilish creatures and the ways you can dispatch them, which is always nice.

In a press release, Andres Chilkowski of Nimble Giant Entertainment (collaborator on Hellbound) said, “This is a milestone for everyone at Nimble Giant as Hellbound is the first project where we are acting as a publisher. Partnering up with Saibot Studios was a great fit as both companies share a passion for the genre, a true commitment to quality and the ambition to deliver great games made in LatAm.”

Made in the mold of classics such as Doom and Quake, Hellbound features a large roster of unique enemies, large, non-linear map design, and a deadly arsenal of firearms. You can sample the game with the Hellbound: Survival Mode demo on Steam to see if this is for you. The game will be available for $14.99 when it releases.

It certainly looks excellent and I’m always down to try out any retro shooters.
