Blizzard has added an NPC to World of Warcraft to commemorate the life of legendary PvPer and Twitch streamer, Reckful.

Well, Warcraft players were asking for it, and it looks like Blizzard was listening. A month after the reported death of Byron “Reckful” Bernstein, Blizzard has heeded to call to honor his life by adding an NPC to WoW with his name on it.

You can find that NPC in the Cathedral of Light, coincidentally the same spot where thousands upon thousands of WoW players paid tribute following news of Reckful’s passing. The NPC is actually a female Rogue Trainer simply named Reckful who has a few unique dialog options.

The first is “I don’t train Assassination Rogues,” which is a reference to Bernstein’s legendary PvP skills. According to Wowhead, Reckful went against the prevailing PvP meta during Wrath of the Lich King and created a Subtlety Rogue instead of an Assassination Rogue, forgoing one of the class’s more overpowered skills. He still managed to make it to Rank 1 on the PvP charts despite the handicap.

The other dialog option is “It was good seeing you again.” It doesn’t actually do anything, but it’s a nice sentimental touch.

During his life, Reckful rose to fame as Warcraft’s premiere PvP player, becoming the first to reach a 3000 rating and winning the 2010 Major League Gaming World of Warcraft tournament. His fame rose as a Twitch streamer and was ranked the fourth most successful streamer in 2017 by the Gazette Review.

Reckful was quite open about his struggles with mental illness during his streams. Before his death, viewers became increasingly concerned with Reckful’s erratic behavior and psilocybin abuse.

Friends reported Reckful’s suicide on social media on July 2. Reckful’s virtual funeral in World of Warcraft took place soon after with tributes coming in as far as even the Horde servers soon after.

As it turns out, most of Reckful’s fortune was spent funding development of Everland, an indie social MMO that integrated seamlessly with Twitch and other streaming platforms. This was revealed by Reckful’s girlfriend, Jenna, who drew criticism for crowdfunding Reckful’s real-life funeral.
