While Animal Crossing: New Horizons certainly hasn’t been Nintendo’s glitchiest game of all-time, like most modern releases, it isn’t without its bugs. One of its more minor ones was documented on Reddit over the peculiar behavior of a couple of villagers.
Normally, Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers go about their business, unless you approach them. As such, they usually have little impact on your day-to-day gameplay. However, Reddit user Sans_the_skele_ton13 posted a clip to Reddit that showed an Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch in action that showed some bizarre behavior from two villagers.

As can be seen here, the player was going about their business when villagers Pompom and Beau were found standing still in the town center, blinking rapidly. It looks like something out of a horror movie, particularly with Pompom’s notably large, round eyes.
The fix to this wasn’t documented, though a likely one involved saving and quitting and re-entering the game. Perhaps talking to them would have solved the issue. Either way, this is certainly a bug that one wouldn’t forget.
This is hardly among the improvements the game needs right now, which involve permanent tools, better shopping options, and streamlined crafting. The latter two aren’t exactly the easiest to navigate and could use an update.
