BLAST will be hosting its first ever Dota 2 event in June, the tournament organizer revealed today. The event will feature six of Dota’s biggest names, each battling for a dynamic $150,000 prize pool with multiple bounties up for grabs.

BLAST Bounty Hunt will take place online, with six teams facing off in best-of-three double elimination brackets until the final best-of-five. Back-to-back International champions OG Esports will compete alongside Team Secret, Team Nigma, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Alliance, and Team Liquid. The teams will be seeded by each other prior to competition, with seeds 3-6 receiving a $15,000 bounty, and seeds 1-2 receiving $20,000.

40% of each team’s bounty is up for grabs each game, with additional bounties awarded throughout the tournament. The additional bounties will be decided through a fan vote, with one bounty being named after a voter. Fans will also have the opportunity to win cash prizes through BLAST’s Fan Prediction Game.

The Fan Prediction Game will allow viewers to vote on match winners, bounty collections, and other “twists and turns” as the event goes on. $5,000, taken directly from the tournament’s prize pool, will be up for grabs through the game.

This event is BLAST’s first venture into Dota, as they have previously only hosted Counter-Strike events. Beginning in 2017 with the BLAST Pro Series, the organizer has grown to now hold the BLAST Premier circuit, a CS:GO event series with over $1,000,000 on offer.

BLAST Bounty Hunt will begin on June 9th, 2020, and run until the 13th.
