Best Vantage Points On Diesel
The pink trailer to the West and the caravan to the East both offer excellent lines of sight across Diesel. If you prefer long-range engagements, these are the best spots to camp on the map. They both look out over the gas station, which has an open parking lot that leaves enemies vulnerable.
There is also a good vantage point in the junkyard. From the East spawn, head left into the junkyard and go towards the dirt road. There is a dumpster next to the broken wall. Climb on to the dumpster to get a good vantage point over the dirt road.
Best Close-Quarters Areas On Diesel
On 6v6 modes such as Team Deathmatch and Domination, Diesel can get very hectic. If you would rather be close to the enemy, avoid the gas station area. If you think about Diesel in terms of the usual three-lane approach, the gas station covers the center of the map, whilst the parking lot and highway create another lane.
Instead, go to the south side of the map and control the junkyard and dirt road. This area is very cluttered, with plenty of places for enemies to hide. You will want to use a gun with a fast Time To Kill so that you have the upper hand.
Best Weapons To Use On Diesel In Cold War Multiplayer
Since Diesel is a small map, you should use SMGs and Assault Rifles that can kill enemies quickly. Guns like the Mac-10, AK-74u, and the FFAR 1 are ideal for the frenetic close-quarters combat that Diesel offers.
Those using the vantage points above should consider tactical rifles, since they have a moderate rate of fire and damage, along with plenty of scopes. This allows you to take advantage of their higher damage, whilst avoiding the slow bolt-action reloads that most sniper rifles use in Black Ops Cold War.
